Puig Touring Windscreen BMW F800GS / F650GS For long distance rides, PUIG introduces the Touring series to minimize wind-blast. These screens raise the wind-blast several centimeters allowing a more comfortable position. Most screens feature a shaded part on the lower section of the screen if cover cables behind the speedometer. Dimensions 30cm H x 20cm W. 12cm taller than OEM windscreen.

Let me explain, this screen is far cheaper than most any other out there for the 800 GS, still pricey for what it is though. Wanted a bit better wind protection for a long October in Ohio road trip, while better than stock it still leaves something to be desired. I'm 5'10" and wear an Arai xd4, it did take a lot of wind off the chest, yet did little for the wind noise and buffeting around the head. I could crouch down maybe 2-3" and it was virtually gone. It was made well, thinner material than stock though, looks great in light smoke tint, and noticed very little flex at highway speed. All in all I know I'm not on 1200GS or a touring bike that offers great wind protection, so this screen helped for what I wanted. Can't speak to durability, maybe 1000 mi. on it.

Wanted something w more bite on my favorite terrain, gravel, dirt and forest 2 tracks, they also needed to eat up paved roads to and from. These tires look aggressive, yet feel very capable on the pavement. Of course they aren't sport bike tires so obviously don't expect it. Do expect short rear tire life, I beat on it pretty hard and swear I could see the wear after each ride, all reviews of this tire pretty much will tell you this also. With that said I hope to get 4500-5000 mi. on the rear, much more on the front of my 800 GS. Will most likely try a K60 or TKC 70 on the rear next.

Kaoko Throttle Lock BMW F700GS / F800GS / Adventure / K1200 S R / R1200 S R RT / K1300 S R The Kaoko Cruise Control is perfect for anyone looking to reduce fatigue and strain on your hand and wrist during long distance highway riding. Each Throttle Lock consists of a simple, ingenious and robustly designed friction nut that is integrated with a special Kaoko bar end weight. The Kaoko bar end weight is closely matched in appearance and weight to the Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM) bar end weight. The Friction Nut has a left-hand thread. It must be adjusted so that it makes light contact with the rubber throttle sleeve. The Grub Screw is set to provide the necessary resistance on the friction nut. Most popular throttle lock and works as advertised. Nice to be able to give the right hand a break on those long runs. Takes a little getting used to to find a technique that works. Crazy expensive for what it is, wish I had developed this thing! Nicely made, 5 min. install.

Protect it in style from rocks, dirt and kicked up debris by installing the AltRider Skid Plate for the BMW F800 GS. Bought this in preparation for a 4 day ride that included a lot of off road single track, unfortunately didn't make the ride this time. HOWEVER, a friend that did go punched a hole in the crankcase of his 1200GS while he had the BMW enduro plate installed. Take a look at youtube or Google it, it's not terribly uncommon seriously off-roading these big bikes. I may have gone a different route had I known this first, there is a plate out there that directs some of the stress to the frame instead of just the case. Anyway, the Altrider plate is made very well and has great coverage, 15 min. install including removal of the stock plastic one I had mangled up a bit. I can't attest to durability or performance, yet. Let's hope it does its job as it's pretty pricy.

Was looking for a slip-on to give the bike a little better sound, and peel a couple pounds too. This fits the bill, it shaved about 6 lbs., fit and installation was very good, looks great w/ the black carbon fiber on the white GS. I didn't like the polished pipe and scuffed it with scotch-brite to match the factory pipe. I believe it is cooler at running temps. also to reduce some heat exposure to soft bags etc. OK, sound, without DB killer it is STUPID LOUD ! Obnoxious harley w straight pipes loud, no kidding. I put the DB killer in and wanted just a little more so cut 2" off the inner length, sounds great now, plenty of rasp on the throttle yet not annoying while cruising. Can't believe claims of big HP gains, but seat of the pants bottom end seems slightly better, maybe it's just in the noise. All in all happy w it.

While I havent had a chance to get them on the bike yet due to the lovely Michigan extended winter, they are of the usual Klim high quality you would expect. I have the Lattitude jacket and wanted waterproof pants w/ some built in armor. I had tried on the Lattitude pants and didnt care for the lack of a belt or the very low waisted front. The Traverse had the built in belt and reviews of waist fit were spot on. The armor of course isnt included at this price point, but was not a deal breaker. I wear kevlar jeans a lot, and wanted to have something for the longer possibly wet/cold rides w/o spending the huge money of the Badlands Pro or Adventure Rally. I love the Klim quality, and these are up to par it seems. will update after some miles in them. BTW i'm 5'10" and 190, 36" waist fits w/ room for under layer, length is good. Would be nice to have another pocket.

First Wolfman product, very nicely made. Took some effort to find good mounting points for the straps on the F800GS, however it's now very secure. Not sure of how it could be done, but would like to see some smaller strap ends or clips that could be left in place on the bike to speed installation and removal. All in all great bag, perfect size for what I wanted w the ability for some expansion. Definitely buy Wolfman again.

Purchased this glove for late fall riding and hopefully a little deeper into the Michigan season. Was looking for a glove that was windproof and waterproof or close to it, w/ some insulation yet not so much to lose feel of the controls. These gloves run SMALL, order at least 1 size up from the Alpinestars size chart. I ordered the L according to chart and had to return for XL, could probably wear a 2XL but that's the problem w/ fitting using online shopping, as you can't easily try sizes, obviously. All in all the gloves are as advertised, zero wind leakage, had them on down to 50°f and were very good although this isn't cold by any means in MI. No rain yet so can't speak on that, the liner is somewhat loose inside but doesn't seem to be an issue. Good glove for the cash.

I looked at many different crash bars for the 800 GS and leaned toward these primarily due to the fact of stainless steel construction, no crimped and welded ends, and very sturdy mounting. Have seen several postings for difficult installation, follow the directions EXACTLY and i had very little trouble. Make SURE you line up holes so bolts go in squarely, I needed to torque the right side into position by hand and slowly worked the lower bolts in. All else went ok. They will protect the body work in a laydown, hope I dont need to find out too often!! They are all pricy for the amount of material here, I guess we are paying for the R&D.

Was unsure how big this thing would actually look on the bike. Didnt want to look like a safari rack on a landcruiser or something... Happily it looks very good, very functional, fit perfectly - quick easy install. AltRider warns that it may need 1/4" spacers to use with vario-bags and stock mounts. I used maybe 3/16" nylon spacers and do not have vario-bags so cannot say if it in fact will clear them. The fit and finish is very nice, i did contact AltRider concerning the logo cut out as it is VERY sharp in places - hate to snag and tear a $800 jacket sleeve or expensive tail bag. Very happy overall, works as intended.
