Schuberth C3 Pro Helmet The Rolls Royce of motorcycle helmets, the Schuberth C3 Pro has been designed to improve on the original C3, which was already one of the quietest and most technologically advanced helmets to date. The rear spoiler, which has been optimized during extensive wind tunnel testing, turns the C3 Pro into a real sport helmet, demonstrating outstanding aerodynamic properties at high speeds in excess of 100 mph. With its enhanced aeroacoustics of 82 dB(A) at 100 km/h the C3 Pro is one of the quietest helmets in the world. The C3 Pro is also prepared to accept the integrated Schuberth SCR System , the C3 Pro also incorporates two integrated antennas for increased Bluetooth range and better FM radio reception. The inner lining is made of carefully selected materials such as COOLMAX, Interpower and Thermocool and has been extensively re-shaped and redesigned setting high benchmarks with respect to comfort. Features The shell is aerodynamically tuned, providing more downforce and reducing buffeting Interior helmet sound levels have been reduced to 82 dB(A) at 60 mph C3 84 dB(A) Interior liner has been designed with fewer seams and a more universal interior fit Improved EPS with integrated antennas for SRC-System which improves radio and Bluetooth range Micro-lock ratchet chin strap Large reflective panels on neckroll Improved faceshield ratchet mechanism Integrated sun visor Acoustics A quiet helmet means active safety for the motorcyclist. This permits the rider to concentrate on riding particularly at higher speeds. Many hours in the Schuberth acoustics wind tunnel have ensured that the C3 Pro is as quiet as Schuberth could make it. The comprehensive acoustics package with optimized helmet shell, wind deflector and ergonomic shape of the neck padding make the C3 Pro at 82 dBA one of the quietest helmets on the market. Acoustics package makes helmet quiet Installation of a wind deflector further improves aeroacoustics Only 82dB(A) at 100 km per hour (with naked bikes) Outer Shell The outer shell of the Schuberth C3 Pro is offered in two helmet shell sizes and combines an aerodynamically optimal shape with excellent protection. It is manufactured using Schuberth's typical compression molding process and thus permits great stability and a low weight. Shell material S.T.R.O.N.G. fiber Helmet shell technology from SCHUBERTH permits low weight Glass fiber with a special resin added is compressed in a vacuum at high pressure to form a helmet shell which is exceptionally sturdy Perfected aerodynamics for higher speeds Upward lift 0! Directionally stable No oscillatory tendency No buffeting Spoiler integrated into the helmet shell SRC-System Ready The C3 Pro equipped to accommodate the SCHUBERTH SRC-System C3 Pro (sold separately). To guarantee ideal radio reception, the C3 Pro is already equipped with two integrated antennas to boost FM and Bluetooth reception. Optimum reception at all times FM and Bluetooth antennas integrated into the helmet for optimum reception EPS The EPS foam liner is modular in design to ensure optimal shock absorption. This complex segmentation guarantees enhanced force absorption and distribution. Made of specially optimized EPS foam Complex multizone foaming allows optimal shock absorption Inner Lining A special inner lining of the C3 Pro which was developed according to Schuberth's innovative Comfort Fit concept that ensures the helmet fits comfortably and securely in all situations. The combination of carefully selected COOLMAX and Thermocool materials, with the additional use of Interpower coatings, also make the inner lining a highly-effective moisture removal and cooling system. COOLMAX pad system, completely removable and washable (hand wash, 30C) Optimized fit Variable venting for effective ventilation Adjustable for summer/winter Allergen-free Antibacterial Removable comfort cheek and head band pads Ventilation Thanks to the design of the vents, the supply of fresh air is increased by up to 60. The combination of multipath channels in the EPS foam liner and the head/chin/mouth ventilation ensures that fresh air is distributed effectively over the entire head area. A.R.O.S. and Neck Strap The Anti-Roll-Off System (A.R.O.S.) was especially developed by SCHUBERTH as a safety feature and is incorporated into every SCHUBERTH motorcycle helmet. It ensures that the helmet cannot roll off of the head when the chinstrap is closed and correctly adjusted The helmet cannot pivot off the head from behind The risk of contact between the chin section of the helmet and the chin or throat of the rider is minimized due to the small angle of tilt Reduces the chance of the helmet coming into contact with the chest as the result of an accident Precise setting of the chinstrap length through adjustment on both sides Micro-lock ratchet lock Face Shield The EasyChange visor mechanism makes changing visors extremely quick and simple without the use of tools. City position offers maximum ventilation while traveling at slower speeds Pinlock visor prevents shield from fogging DOT and ECE certified

Just bought the C3 PRO due to noise in last helmet being painful and getting worse(only 18 months old) and it was an expensive modular helmet.
Bought the C3 untried as there is no Dealer in OZ. Revzilla were spot on in helping me size it correctly.
I did not get a chance to use it on any short rides- I received it, fitted my communications set to it and met the boys for 3 days of hard riding, and once we left like it or not I was stuck with it.
Initial thoughts were- this is very comfortable everywhere. After day 1 (760 klm) I was impressed with noise levels- very impressed. Vision was great- probably the best I've had.
Wind buffeting on the S1000RR (there fore some noise) depended on what position you sit- tucked down excellent, very little. Sitting up right there was some noise, but no where like my last helmet- but that's the bike aerodynamics- not the helmet..
The sun visor works a treat- i always were sunnies and now with this helmet, they maybe left in tank bag.
Anti fog visor is the best of I've used- day 2 saw some cooler rainy patches- no fog on visor. Day 3 saw us riding in 1'c fog for over 100klm's and only the sun visor fogs up.
The chin guard is easy to use and locks positively
If I had to gripe about anything- Ventilation- Could be more air flow. Yes- you can feel cool air on top of your head and air always seems fresh. I just thought the visor or chin vent could deliver more air and be easier to use. And the chin strap dug into my throat a little- maybe a smaller buckle or softer padding or buckle moved to one side rather than in middle might fix this- or I could just lose my flab around neck.
I think technology has come along way in the last few years, and manufactures are making excellent products.
Over all verdict- 3 days 1940 klm's - Bloody excellent mate

 Nolan N104 Helmet - Solid (2XS)
Nolan N104 Helmet - Solid (2XS)
Nolan N104 Helmet - Solid Colors The Nolan N104 Helmet represents an evolutionary step forward in Nolan's helmet line. The N104 is much lighter (7oz) than previous models and features a lower profile, achieved through the use of multiple shell sizes, better aerodynamics and a much larger viewport for increased visibility. The (patented) chin guard rotation mechanism, with elliptical trajectory, makes it possible to minimize the total size of the helmet's front section when the chin guard is open. The sail effect is consequently greatly reduced, increasing rider comfort even when the chin bar is raised. The ultrawide eyeport is the largest of any Nolan helmet, both vertically and laterally, allowing for maximum field of view. The AIRBOOSTER ventilation system is equipped with an air intake in the chin bar, another intake in the brow, and two exhaust vents at the rear. The inner comfort lining includes removable cheekpads, inner liner, neckroll and chin curtain, all of which are washable as well as antifungal and antibacterial. The redesigned comfort liner also accommodates eyeglasses much more easily than before. All Nolan N104 helmets are also N-COM B4 ready ( N-COM B4 is designed expressly for the N104 and is sold separately). Shell Features Injected polycarbonate GE Lexan shell 7oz lighter than the Nolan N103 Two Shell engineering allows Nolan N104 to offer sizes from 2XS to 3XL (2XS-LG and XL-3XL) Dimensionally correct sizing allows ample cubic volume in chin/nose area Faceshield Features Face shields are now sized to fit the two different shell sizes (2XS-LG and XL-3XL) Ultra wide eye port opening is the largest on any Nolan helmet for superior visibility Shield is changed by a simple push button mechanism Pinlock shield included with each helmet VPS (Vision Protection System) slider bar to lower, push button release for instant retraction VPS lens is scratch and fog resistant Chin Bar Features Centromatic chin guard opening mechanism requires dual action, simultaneous action to prevent accidental opening Dual action opening mechanism is positioned in the centre of the chin guard and allows for easy, one-handed opening Ventilation AIRBOOSTER ventilation system, ensures optimal ventilation where is is most required Air intake in the chin guard draws air in and onto the inside of the faceshield 3 position top vent (closed, crown vent, crown/brow vent) 2 venturi exhaust ports at rear of helmet Plastic vent tube channels in EPS disperse cool air throughout the helmet interior Inner Liner Features removable cheek pads, inner liner, neck roll and wind protector The inner padding of the N104 is easily removable and washable and antibacterial The shape of the inner comfort padding facilitates eyeglass wearing Reflective insert at the centre of the roll neck further improves the rider's visibility at night Neck roll can be removed easily, for more comfort in the warmer months Other Features N-Com Communication System compatible (sold separately) Features Microlock2 quick-release retention system Microlock2 consists of a plastic ergonomic opening lever, and of a second aluminium toothed and holding lever Microlock2 minimizes the possibility of unintentional opening while still making it ergonomic and easy to use Meets or exceeds D.O.T. standards

I have ridden bikes for over 20 years and replaced my helmets regularly for obvious reasons. I have used Modular style helmets for over 10 of those years, first being a BMW (excellent), a Shoei (ok), RJC (Good), Schuberth (yet to decide-new. so far very comfortable) and Nolan (just replaced by Schuberth).
At first I thought this helmet was up there with the BMW for comfort, even had better vision in sports bike riding position. It was quiet and comfortable, easy to use vents with good ventilation, sun visor a bit of a gimmick, worked ok, only has two positions- up or down. The Visor was clear and pin lock visor worked extremely well- I had never used one before, will not have another helmet without one now, very happy with this.
6 months in, I removed the sun visor, the main visor will not stay in a set position since day 1, I usually it like all up or 1 click up(almost closed). New visor did not fix. The side covers that fit when the sun visor was removed have been replaced 3 times under warranty and Nolan wont do anymore and are now glued permanently- they blow off when riding sedately (100- 120kph). The air noise has been getting worse now for a few months to the point where I have replaced the helmet with a new one. It is unbearable, even with ear plugs in.
This is a not a helmet I would recommend for long term use. It has done approx 22000klms on day rides, over night and numerous 7+day tours in just under 18months.
