The tint and clear are both good colors. You could wear the tint without sunglasses. The snaps are hard to put on and off causing you to have to install the shield when your not wearing it. Would be next to impossible to install with the helmet on. Would like to see biltwell come out with a flip up version of these shields

After wearing a basic 3/4 helmet for past couple years I decided I wanted to go something full face. There are a lot of great helmets out there but nothing that matched the style I wanted until I saw the Gringo. I have the flat silver color and it looks as good as the pictures. I ordered an XL but in the past have worn Large in other brands. The basket padding for the head fits good but slightly loose in the cheek and jaw area. Biltwell doesn't sell replacement cheek pads. I ride a Harley Davidson Road Glide so I'm in a upright touring position. The helmet has great visibility and doesn't weight too much. After doing a couple 3 hour rides the helmet performed as good as expected for a helmet with no vents. The padding wicked sweat pretty well but a couple vents would of been nice on the very hot days but would wreck the look. I do wear prescription eye glasses and felt some pinching on the left ear after riding for awhile. Biltwell's bubble shields are nice but the snaps are too hard to take on and off. I found a exterior bubble flip up shield from another retailer that works for me. Keep up the good reviews fellas.
