I'm exceptionally glad I chose this helmet as my first helmet! I decided to go with the modular shark (and this helmet specifically) because of the sheer versatility. This helmet allows me to "legally" ride open face (as opposed to other modular helmets which aren't designed to ride open face)... so really, I get two helmets in one. I live in Washington, so I haven't had any problems with helmet temperature (seeing as if it's "hot" I can ride open face) and if it's rainy I can close it up. The built in sun visor is a life savor as well! Love it!
Only minor complaints: it lets in a little bit of rain in between the visor area and helmet (under HEAVY rain conditions- again, I live in Seattle, Washington- so most people won't have a problem with heavy rain on the freeway at 65mph ish)... using the drop down sun visor in addition helped with the rain problems. Other complaint is it's a little large looking. But for the versatility, a little sacrifice is ok for super small aesthetics, right? (comfort & versatility vs. looks)...
Great helmet! I'm curious how it would hold up in a warmer climate, but it's great in Washington so far this spring/summer!
If you're looking for versatility, this helmet is perfect!
