I purchased these in hopes of finding a comfortable, all weather, protective, commuting shoe. Arguably, this could be considered a boot as it is above the ankle. It fits like a chukka boot. The build quality on this is excellent. The shoe provides fantastic traction and the protective elements of the boot are sturdy, but feel comfortable enough that I feel pretty good saying I could wear these all day.
I wouldn't want to walk in them all day, but I could. As with 99% of Gore-Tex boots, they run hot. Although Gore-Tex does breathe, it's much slower than say, a mesh panel. With that said, be mindful of the socks you wear with these and consider that Gore-Tex membranes struggle "breathing" in humid climates.
All that technical stuff aside, I love the boots and plan to own them for years to come.

I just bought these a week ago. At this point, I've taken them about 40 miles. I live in Las Vegas and it's starting to get pretty warm already, with temperatures teasing 100 degrees. The gloves ventilate very well and have a good level of protection.
My one issue is that my ring finger is a little tight in them on the right glove, but I'm hoping after more time, the glove stretches.
Outside of that, I think the styling is awesome and I like that the branding is pretty muted on the all black version.
