Easy installation into my HJC RPHA-Max. Comes in Amber, Light Smoke and Dark Smoke. I wanted/needed something darker than stock so I bought the Dark Smoke. Unfortunately, it's the same shade as stock. I would have given it 5 stars if it was darker.

Fit/finish - Along the lines of the "premium" brands but not as good as the "most expensive modular". Snug fit (good thing). No buffeting and no wobbling with a head check. Tight cheek pads but that's a good thing. Fits well in the crown.
Weight - Lighter than I expected. Even lighter than my previous 3/4 helmet. Also, very well balanced. No complaints.
Noise - HJC claims 2db louder than the "most expensive modular". I think they're being overly optimistic. I'd say about average for a semi-premium modular. (I've worn quieter and much louder.) I can still hear the stereo well although it's a bit muddled (to be expected with any modular/full face lid).
Drop down sun visor - Optically correct but not nearly dark enough. HJC sells 3 different versions (smoke, dark smoke and amber). This comes with the smoke. I'm about to pay $22 for the dark smoke.
Pinlock shield - 38* and no visor fogging even when I took it directly from the 70* house to 38* highway speeds. Impressive. Sun visor didn't fog, either. The locking, center mounted closure is handy (and simply unlocking it gives you a good vent to defog the eyeglasses in town) but it's difficult to use with heavy gloves on. Simple and easy with normal (3 season) gloves.
Double D ring closure - Mixed feelings about this. Because of the extra neck roll padding (to reduce turbulence/noise), it's a bit difficult to fasten and the snap for the excess strap is worthless as you just can't get to it. I'd much prefer a ratchet closure like Nolan has.
Eyeglass friendly - The helmet is too tight (good thing) to easily put on/remove with glasses on. Easier to remove the glasses, put the lid on then put the glasses back on. Fortunately, HJC has made it very easy to do so. I've bent more than a few glasses trying to fit them on after the helmet was on. No problem with this one.
Air flow/cooling - I can't comment on that as it's still in the 30s.
Overall, I'd say this is a very good, semi-premium helmet. My only real complaints are noise and double D ring closure. For $400+, it should be a little quieter.

Nice looking jacket. Flows air decently. The Velcro wrist closures make the cuffs a bit bulky (compared to the "normal" zipper). Needs more Velcro at the snug points on the arms (or I need bigger arms). Can't quite get it as tight as I'd like to keep the elbow armor in place. Comfortable jacket. The microfleece collar is a nice touch. I normally wear a 2-3XL. Size XL fits nicely. Order a size smaller than normal. The rain liner is held in place by 2 front zippers and a bunch of snapped flaps that go around some bungee loops inside the shell. Kind of an odd design but good and bad. Good because it makes the shell very comfortable with no irritating zippers/snaps. Bad because it takes a while to fasten it in place. I just use the 2 front zippers although I don't wear the liner very much.
Overall, a very good bargain.

First, this is one quiet helmet. Not "quiet for a 3/4 helmet" but just...plain...quiet. Period. It's quieter than my Speed and Strength SS2200 and it's quieter than my Scorpion EXO 900 (modular). I bought it so I could add a SENA to listen to the tunes from my bike stereo. Now, I'm not sure I need the SENA (although I'll still probably buy one for phone use).
This is also very comfortable. I normally wear an XL but a Large in this fits like a glove. (A soft, smooth glove at that.) It feels like it was made just for me. Rocking comfort, especially at this price level.
Two very small "nags". First, a good side wind gets all the way up to eye level. I know it's an open face helmet but with the large face shield, I was still surprised. During normal (frontal) winds (at speed), I don't feel any air except on my chin (where the face shield stops). Second, the face shield seems a bit wobbly/loose as you're pushing it up. Solid as a rock when it's left alone at any of the remarkably strong detents. Bell might consider moving the face shield "tab" from the side to the center. I think that would solve the "problem".
Overall, this is probably the best fitting, most comfortable and quietest helmet I've ever had. I've never had a high end helmet (like a Schuberth) but I've had everything from $20 skid lids to $400 Arais and everything in between, full face, modular, 3/4, 1/2, etc. Bell has done an outstanding job with this helmet. Move the face shield "tab" to the center and replace the (aging) double D ring closure with a modern ratchet and this could be the perfect helmet for the masses.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Nice fitting, good looking helmet. Good price. More round oval than long oval. Lightweight. View is like nothing is there. Very nice. Only issue is noise. This is a very noisy helmet even with the chin bar attached. The chin bar is difficult to attach but once attached, keeps a lot of the air out although not nearly as well as a full face/modular. I don't plan on using the chin bar except in rain/cold weather. Interior sun visor comes down farther than most. Nice as there isn't any place for the sun to sneak in. Due to the noise, I'll add a SENA to listen to the tunes from the bike. Air flow with the face shield down is minimal but seems adaquate. Runs slightly large. I normally wear an XL and this is a touch too big. I need a Large and a 1/2 but this will do.
I would recommend this.
