I bought a second pair of these because I liked them so much. They are my daily wear jeans now. I like how the kevlar is stiched in place, rather than flopping around loose. That being said, although I know these will protect me more than ordinary jeans, I still don't how well they'd stand up on the asphalt. Hopefully I won't need to test it. They give me some sense of security without the cumbersome process of putting all the heavy gear on. Plus, I think they look really good, and they feel a little heavy, but not super heavy. Very baggy pseudo-gangster fit, which I like.

These shoes turned out to be even better than I was expecting. The armor feels substantial, and the style is very cool. I was most impressed by the ankle mobility I have in these: Even though the ankle armor is nice and thick, and the foot feels like it is definitely not going to be pulled put of this shoe, the ankle still has full mobility. Most high top shoes I have worn make the ankle feel sort of bound to the foot as a unit--not with these shoes. I'm planning on getting more as backups in case they stop making them.
