I am a Shoei Large, and this helmet in Large fit me quite snug, to the point of being a little uncomfortable after a long ride, but I assume that it will adjust. Strangely, mine sits ever-so-slightly off center. I don't believe my head is misshapen, since other helmets always fit fine :) The muzzle of course does look awesome, but do not count on any real protection from it, besides maybe from bugs. The clicker mounting system on the sides means that any time you bump into anything, the muzzle will 'click' right into your face. Also, the more you extend it, the more flimsy it feel, to the point where you can wiggle it to alternatively expose your nose or chin. The adjusting system should have been metal, had a locking mechanism, or at least had some tighter assembly. And as people mentioned, you have to remove the muzzle to take the helmet off, so it is another thing to juggle, when you are gearing up. But since it is magnetic, I just 'stick' it onto my handle bars. I am able to wear airfoil fitover goggles in this helmet just fine. But I have to wear the band INSIDE, because if I wrap it around the helmet, the resulting fit is quite loose and i get air coming in. Because of the split design of the helmet, it is pretty much impossible to wear the goggle strap horizontal.
The bottom shroud provides sufficient comfort, but not much noise reduction. Any time i get above 45, the wind noise gets so loud, I don't hear my (stock) engine & muffler or passing cars. But I do wear the shroud, muzzle & huge goggles, as I mentioned, so I am not exactly aerodynamic.
The look everyone can see for themselves. It is still a bike helmet and not a steel military helmet, so you do get a little bit of the mushroom head look. But it matches my military bike paint scheme nearly perfect. I will definitely keep this helmet for puttering around town, and maybe some relaxed country riding, but I would not recommend it for highway use, both because of the noise and the flimsy construction of the muzzle. At high speeds, it can catch a bit of wind, and wiggle up and down in its mounting points, especially if you are looking around, checking the adjacent lane, etc.
Yes, I recommend this product.
