Just bought these pants, and immediately used them on a one-week tour of the Alps. We rode twelve hours a day for a week through every kind of condition: 100 degrees in the valleys, freezing cold glaciers at the mountain passes, blazing sun, and driving rain on the German autobahn. They were excellent in all conditions...until the GoreTex waterproofing was overwhelmed after riding two hours in a hard rain on the autobahn. Every part of my gear, including my helmet, was inundated with water, so that was a tough test. Normal rain fall was no problem. This was my first pair of textile riding pants, and at first they seemed a little baggier and crunchier than I was expecting, but I got used to it. Although they worked best wearing nothing underneath except underwear, they also fit over pants, so I can wear them commuting to work. The sizing chart on RevZilla's website was right on the money for my size. I feel much better knowing I have some padding on my legs, and the venting and waterproofing works well for most conditions. I give these pants two thumbs up.

I was always against the idea of helmet communicators after nearly crashing while riding through Tokyo traffic wearing an old Walkman. But when my buddy and I decided to do a week-long tour of the Alps on rented motorcycles, we decided to get helmet communicators to help with the inevitable navigation difficulties in foreign countries. I nearly bought the Cardo G9, but as soon as the Q3 came out, I knew it was what I was looking for. I love the interchangeability of the microphones (I use the corded mic in my fuil face helmet) and the ability to use my own earbuds in place of the supplied velcro backed speakers. It took me quite a bit of time to install the system in my brand new Aria Signet-Q helmet, but once I got the helmet collar and cheek pads out, the cables for the Q3 slid nicely into place. I spent a LOT of time trying to get the speakers in just the right place, and I'm still messing around with that a little bit. Now that it's all in there, I LOVE IT! It's amazing how well the mic filters out road and wind noise. I bought a pair of Q3s, so I could use the intercom with my wife on the back, and instantly solved an old problem we've had of her falling asleep on the back of the bike. The phone function works great, and is easy to use. It even streams music from my phone. Sound quality is excellent, even with the supplied speakers. Now I can't live without this awesome device.

Fit
Small
Slightly Small
Large
The Revi-It sizing guide on RevZilla's website indicated that I was a size Large. However, I've got long skinny fingers, and have always worn an XL glove, so I ordered up a size. Glad I did. The XLs fit me perfectly. And they look cool too! I had initially thought about getting the higher spec Jerez glove, but the double gauntlet enclosures seemed a little too cumbersome for my daily commute, which is 90% of my riding. The SLRs still provide a high level of protection, and the single gauntlet enclosures are easy to get on/off over the sleeves on my Vanson (thick) leather jacket. I was a little surprised by the lack on venting on the fingers, but that should not be a problem in the cooler weather we usually have here in northern NY state. Overall craftsmanship seems to be top notch, so I'm looking forward to using these gloves in the upcoming riding season.

I ordered a separate smoked shield for my new Signet-Q helmet because I thought it would look strange to have a smoked pin-lock insert on a clear shield. Plus, I've never had trouble with fogging, so I'm not sold on the necessity of pin-lock. Even though I've had Aria helmets for years, and had long ago mastered the tricky shield removal process to the point that I could do it with the helmet still on my head, swapping out this new shield on my new helmet was very difficult. I felt like I was going to break something before getting it in properly. Hopefully that will loosen up in time as the parts break in a little. Once in, it's beautiful. Worth the effort.

Arai Signet-Q Helmet - Solid Colors The Signet-Q takes all the favorite features of the RX-Q and create a whole new series based on all the successes. On the outside, the Arai Signet-Q Helmet looks very similar to it's namesake, the RX-Q, but on the inside you can see and feel the difference. A longer shell shape on the Arai Signet-Q Helmet gives 5mm more space front to back allowing for a larger number of heads to fit comfortably. The shape of the Arai Signet-Q Helmet releases forehead pressures and eliminate hot spots for a more comfortable fit every time. This shape works best for riders with a long oval headshape. Additional Features of the Arai Signet-Q Helmet Both the top vent set and side exhaust cowls are direct carryovers from the RX-Q Brow vent ducting redirects to flow air across the temples DDL-4 exhaust vent to the 10mm wider eye port (5mm on each side) Long Oval Fit SAI MAX-Vision Brow Vent shield Clear Pinlock Max-Vision Brow Vent Pinlock lens included Elongated shell adds 5mm from front to back Long-Oval shape helps prevent Hot-Spot Multi-Density Single piece EPS liner Removable, replaceable, washable interior Dry-Cool Surface material for rapid displacement of heat and moisture away from your head and into the ventilation airflow for added comfort while riding and a quick dry between rides 5mm peel-away temple pads adds another level of customization, giving the helmet interior a little extra width when needed Enhanced for customizable micro fitment interior without the need to purchase extra interior components New FCS (Facial Contour Support) cheek pad design Innovative and exclusive spring support adds just the right amount of pressure when needed while being worn Meets or exceeds Snell and D.O.T. standards

For several years I wore an earlier version of Aria's Corsair helmet that I purchased in Japan. That helmet had the round head shape more common in Japan. Before that I had a variety of helmets that were intermediate ovals at best. Each time the helmets would smash my forehead until they eventually broke in months later. Finally, the Signet-Q fits egg heads like me perfectly. It fit so evenly around my whole head that at first I thought I might have ordered a size too large, but after pulling on it and twisting it I realized that it fit just right. A proper fit does not need to be painful.
I spent a lot of time browsing the reviews of several other helmets on RevZilla's useful website, but ultimately came back to the same brand I've worn for years. Part of me was tempted to get the higher spec Corsair, but I've learned that it's better to buy gear made for your application, and I do more commuting and short touring than track riding, so the Signet-Q is right for me.
