First of all the quality of the leather is excellent. Much thicker and heavier than other leather jackets I've had. I thought this would make the jacket too warm considering the lack of perforations in the chest. I was wrong. Roland Sands has engineered this jacket to breath very well through the underside of the arms. I really can't figure out how it works so well. I wouldn't, however, wear this jacket in weather above 80-90 °F depending on humidity. Overall the build quality is excellent and paired with the armor makes me feel well protected. It's hard to justify the price, but If you're willing to put down the money this jacket is highly recommended.

REVIT Seesoft Back Protector Insert The revolutionary new REVIT See Soft CE-Level 2 back protector is designed to absorb multiple impacts without compromising on comfort, ventilation or freedom of movement. The highly impact-resistant blend of Nitrille and Polynorbornene rubber results in a memory foam that is multi-impact rated and CE Certified to the highest level of prEN 1621-22010 level 2. In the case of severe angular impact, the individual Memory Foam layers will shift relative to one another, resulting in impact dispersion over a larger effective surface area and therefore minimizing the energy that is transmitted to the spine and back. The Seesoft back protector performs extremely consistently in all weather conditions and is unaffected by temperature ranges from -4 F to +104 F (-20 C to +40 C). Most REV'IT jackets are designed to accommodate a Seesoft CE Level 2 back protector insert. Newer jackets will have a marking on the protector pocket that indicates the matching type and size of the protector. I purchased the RV size 5 insert of my XXL Sand 2 jacket.
First of all, you should always upgrade the back protection in your jacket. I have yet to find a jacket that actually comes with real back armor.
The seesoft back protector earns it's name. This is the most flexible CE-Level 2 rated armor I've ever seen. The flexibility coupled with the light weight and form factor of the RV cut makes this the most comfortable I've ever owned. I feel this new style of protector is a step forward and believe it puts Rev'it at the head of the pack when it comes to back protectors.

Style wise looks like a pretty normal sneaker. I bought these so I could wear them to work without looking goofy.
Protection wise these offer better protection then most other riding shoes I've worn. Obviously not as much as a proper boot, but this is a good compromise, both in protection and comfort as this is one of the more comfortable riding shoes I've worn as well. Also, the perforations in this shoe make it great for hot weather.
Overall this is a great shoe. At the sub $100 price point, it's a deal.

Bell RS-1 Gearhead Helmets The Bell RS-1 Gearhead Helmet comes in either a red/black or black/white color scheme. Regardless of the color you choose, the graphic on this lid has depth and detail and a high level of reflectivity. Part of the Bell RS-1 Helmet line, the Gearhead bridges the gap between the top-of-the-line Bell Star and the value-minded Vortex with an amazing blend of mid-line price and high-end performance. The shell is a lightweight Kevlar/fiberglass composite making this helmet lighter than both the Star and the Vortex. The fit is a race fit, so more snug but still very comfortable due to the Contour Cut Cheekpads and a plush, removable, washable liner. Packed with features, its one great helmet at a modest price. REVIT Sand 2 Jacket Those looking for a jacket to wear on an around-the-world trip need look no further than the REVIT Sand 2. The already popular Sand jacket has been improved with a bevy of innovative new features. The jacket features adjustable VCS zippers that increase ventilation by 200 percent over the originalplus, it has a wind-catcher feature integrated into the zipper for even greater airflow. The jacket is compatible with both Leatt and MOVEO neck brace systems, the latter of which conveniently stays attached when taking the jacket on and off. The Sand 2 also comes with a connection zipper. This makes it easy to connect the jacket with compatible REVIT! trousers and eliminates any gap that would allow water to creep in. With the inner membrane removed, the outer shell can be upgraded with a Challenger cooling vest insert. As far as sizing goes there's no surprises here if you're familiar with Rev'it's jacket sizes. I'm 6'1" 240 lbs with a 45" chest so I wear XXL.
First of all I live in Louisiana. My primary concern for this jacket was hot weather performance. The amount of airflow through this jacket is well above what I expected for a non-mesh jacket. It can easily be worn up to 80 degrees comfortably. Above that you can add the challenger cooling vest. The lowest temperature I've worn this vest is about 45 degrees. At that temperature I used both the waterproof and thermal liners. It got pretty warm. I could see this jacket being worn into very low temperatures and it's loose enough to wear layers underneath if necessary.
The zippers, straps, and buttons on this jacket are probably the easiest I've ever used with gloves on. You can tell a lot of thought and design went into this.
I would complain about the price of this jacket, but considering this jacket is like 3-in-1, it's hard to. My only real gripe is the back protection. I know it's normal for jackets to not come with real back protectors, but they really should.
Overall I'm not surprised. I've used many Rev'it products and this is just another great addition to the lineup. Definitely recommended.

Kriega US-20 Drypack The Kriega US-20 is an award-winning, high quality piece of motorcycle luggage, offering 20 liters of capacity. Like all Kriega US bags, it is a 100 waterproof Drypack with innovative design which attaches to the sub-frame, via included buckle loops and Alloy Hook Straps, for use as a motorcycle tail pack and courier bag. The Kriega US-20 motorcycle bag comes equipped with removable shoulder and waist straps. It can be carried courier style, on or off the bike. It can also be used as a tank bag (with addition of US Tank adaptor) or in combination with other US packs to create a supremely adaptable, modular, soft luggage system. Anti-slip mesh base also doubles as a pocket to store the shoulder waist straps, or other items, when the US-20 is attached to the motorcycle. The shoulder strap connects to the large D-rings at each end of the pack and the waist strap connects to 2 x tuck-away buckles at the corners of the mesh-pocket. The Kriega US-20 dry pack motorcycle tailpack is designed to work perfectly with pretty much any motorcycle, via a super secure attachment to the sub-frame. The pack is easily attached/removed by 4 x quick-release buckles, and no extra bungees or rain covers are required. The Kriega dry bag US-20 tail pack utilizes the latest generation of fitting straps. US Alloy Hook Straps allow tailpack combinations of up to 90-liters to be carried with confidence and convenience. Easy on/off with no loose straps remaining. Custom CNC milled, aircraft grade, 6061-T6 alloy hooks attach to the four discreet web loops located on the frame of the bike. Fitting method is particularly suitable for traditional one-piece motorcycle seats and bolt-on seat pads/racks, as well as standard seats. US packs can be mounted inline or across the seat. For use as a tankbag, Kriega US Tank Adaptor must be purchased. Kriega US-20 dry pack features 100 waterproof main-body RHINOTEK abrasion resistant fabric HYPALON abrasion resistant reinforcement DRYPACK removable taped-seam inner liner 420D nylon ripstop - lightweight yet extremely strong CNC milled, 6061-T6 alloy fitting hooks Acetal ITW Airloc quick-release buckles YKK water-resistant zip on side pocket Side access zip pocket (water-resistant) Coated-mesh pocket Shoulder waist straps US Alloy Hook Straps included 10-year guarantee 20-liter capacity (H)15.7 x (W)10.2 x (D)7.5 inches Note The US-20 subframe loops are reflective, not black as shown. This will help to ensure a secure connection to the frame of your motorcycle, and to differentiate between the subframe loops and the connection straps.

Everything on this bag is outstanding. I only have two complaints. First is the installation. If you don't have a piece of your bikes subframe you can use, the system to attach this to your bike is just ok. I ride a ninja 300 and didn't have anywhere to attach the straps so I had to attach it directly to the back seat. If the bag isn't full it tends to slide around, just a bit of an annoyance. The other gripe is the price, it's a bit steep for what your getting, but the quality is solid and I'm sure it'll last a lifetime.

The white version of this shoe looks kinda like moonboots. On the bike it's fine and looks great. Off the bike they can look a bit awkward with jeans. I've gotten both compliments and odd looks.
fairly comfortable although I'll probably get some Dr. Scholl's and the tongue of the shoe presses into my shin a bit, I'd recommend at least mid length socks with these.
I've owned these shoes for about two weeks now. a small piece of rubber from the shift pad tore off, not enough to be noticeable, but I was kinda surprised. The rest of the shoe is pretty solid. The only part I'm concerned about is the buckle, It hasn't broken yet, but it does feel cheap. I guess time will tell. I'll be sure to update this if it does.
Overall, not a bad product for the price if you like the style. Otherwise I'd recommend another product like the "running with the bulls" shoe.

I'm 6' 240 lbs with a 44 inch chest. I ordered an XL and found it to be a bit tight in the elbows and chest/ shoulders, especially with the added back pad. It still fits but only just. I think I would have been happier with a XXL. I suggest ordering a size up. You can always adjust it down to size.
Other than that. The airflow in this jacket is amazing. A much needed relief in the Louisiana heat.
