Icon 1000 El Bajo Boots El Bajo - literally translated it means The Short One. Short perhaps in overall height, but never in performance or steez. Built on the same Goodyear welt bottom unit as its five-buckle Elsinore brother, El Bajo provides all the OG moto-presence but in a reduced two-buckle silhouette. Metal post fasteners, heavy top-grain leather chassis, and reinforced toe box and heel make for a serious piece of riding footwear. The Icon One Thousand El Bajo - always up to the challenge. I chose these boots because I ride a cruiser and didn't want one of those sporty looking motorcycle boots. At the same time, I didn't want a boot that screamed "I ride a cruiser!" either. I was in the market for a low-key boot that I can throw the cuff of my pants over and stroll when not riding. These boots fit the bill.
I wear a 13, ordered a 13 and they fit. They were a bit snug and required a break-in period. I wore them for two day them had to take a break for a day then another couple till they broke in.
They fit perfectly with no extreme tight spots. I can do a fair amount of walking around maybe about 10 blocks or so before they start to rub the back of my feet raw. So much so that the lining in the heel of one shoe has rubbed away.
I was wearing timberlands before I got these (new to cycling) and there is a huge difference. These boots are stiffer and absorb a lot of the vibrations from my bike and insulated my feet better.
Overall, great shoes. Be sure you wear some good thick wool socks as well. This helps with comfort!
