Bang for the Buck
`I got them on clearance so take that into account. I was not surprised they were as nice as they were. Definitely got what I paid for, mayyybe a little more.
Style
`Style-shmyle. Give no hoots here.
Comfort
`To close this boot, theres a speed lace, zipper+velcro tab, and one of those plastic toothed things that have unlimited size accomidations. Seems like an in-or-out kind of boot.
Protection & Durability
`The are made out of nice materials, and they feel very protective, but I have not used them extensively and cannot comment on the durability of these boots. I would imagine quite a few seasons.
Air Flow
`The no longer had my size in the perforated version of this boot, so I could only get the non. The non-perforated boots probably aren't for extremely warm weather, but you'll be fine if you get over it. As far as warmth, I can't say from experience, but I'm sure you'll be alright with some nice socks and some gore-tex over-socks (that's my plan, anyway.)
Features
`I don't quite see any cool "features" this boot has that isn't in the picture or video. Removable toe sliders could come in handy.
Side Notes
`These guys are awesome, but I must warn you; once broken in, they creak with every step. I knew this going into it and have embraced the chirping. I've read somewhere that you can use some kind of oil/grease every now and then to make it slide easier. For the curious: the part that creaks is the multi-link system's tongue that protrudes upward into the back of the boot.
`The sizing was just right, no worries there.
`When I got them I noticed that they didn't look exactly like they do in the picture. The look just like the Gore-Tex version, except without the little gore-tex tag. The only differences I've seen is a different shaped toe-slider, and a different colored side plate. Also, these ones have a bit puffier rim around the top.
