I am a new rider, had before a full face HJC found it to be a bit heavy and gave me headaches. So I decided to try this half helmet. Feels liberating and fresh, true to fit I use a large, came with 2 pull down eye shields (one clear the other tinted), also came with ear panels, which keep the noise out gives some warmth and comfort in the early morning ride when its cool. Has a nice retro look (model: tough as nails). Really like the ratchet style buckle chin strap, easily usable with gloves on. Really happy with my choice and more importantly no more headaches.

I am usually a 9.5 wide or a 10 wide. Concerned that wide sizes are hard to come by, after lots of research I decided to take a chance on these. I purchased a size 10 and it was a real 10. I had no issues with the width. The boot fits nice and snugged yet movable. The latch gives you added support. It is very comfortable as a daily wear motorcycle (ankle) boot. I really like the strip on top for the shifter, which protects the shoe for excess wear. I do recommend this product and was surprised how quickly I received it. Thank you for making my a lifetime customer.

does this product come in half sizes? i wear a 10.5
I have read that many people use a size smaller, so if you are a 10.5 you would wear a 10.
But I personally have had my share of issues with shoe sizes, so being that I wear a 9.5 wide and they do not come in wide sizes, I decided to get a size 10. I would have to say its true to its size.
My advice is, if other than a 10.5, you can wear a 10 normally than do the 10, but if that is usually too small then go for the 11. Always remember that you can exchange it for free, just make sure you try it on indoors so that should you need to exchange them, they will still remain in new conditions. Hope this helps.

Is the insole removable?
I have a need to always wear custom fit orthotics, so it'd be great to know, thanks.
Yes the insole is removable, its a thin insole.

Is the buckle plastic or aluminum? S&S web site says aluminum, reviews here say plastic.
Its a hard plastic.
