I have typically wide hands and buying online can be a bit worrisome. I had some Alpinestar SP-2's in 2x. After talking with the very knowledgeable staff, went with the same size. Fit is exactly the same. This glove really works. the flexibility is exactly what is needed. The protection is well placed and works, (hey, can't push the edge upright all the time). I really like the air flow. I really can't think of what else someone would need that is not part of these gloves, unless you go pro.
Yes, I recommend this product.

On the Scorpion SG3 gloves. Is the adjustment ring metal or plastic?

I'm referring to the metal or plastic rectangular shaped part that the wrist adjustment strap goes through. In your video, it appears to be plastic.
it's plastic, about 1/8" diameter. it won't be breaking anytime soon.
