i usually wear a sz L in most brands and after reading the reviews on this decided to size down. Medium is snug but comfortable. The padding seems thinner than my HJC full face but the material is comfortable. The underside of the helmet has a mesh fabric (I assume for breathability) but it feels rough and scratches my cheekbones as I pull on the helmet.
The chin strap has way too much extra length and no retaining loop so it flaps around unless you cut it off like i did.
Big visor provides very good peripherals and the optics are very good, no warping or distortion that I can notice. Haven't ridden w/ the peak, but without it the helmet seems very stable/minimal buffeting.
A chin curtain might be a nice option as a lot of air blows up from under the chin bar but that can be nice on a warm/hot day. i'm sure it'd be great when using goggles.

Beautiful in black. Wish it came w/ the fog-free visor, since it's the same price to buy separately...The detent for fully closed is REALLY secure, practically have to pry the visor open, which I like. It all feels top quality.

got the gold mirror'd. Very reflective...but on BOTH sides, so at certain light angles you get a lot of internal reflection of your face.

Are HJC cheek pad sizes interchangeable with helmet sizes?
I have an HJC FS-15 in size large and I want to purchase cheek pads that are MORE SNUG. I assume I'll be purchasing cheek pads for size medium but are they compatible with my helmet size? Thx in advance!

How does the AFX-39 work for riders with glasses?
How hard is it to put glasses on and off with helmet on? I generally wear a modular or flip-up helmet but really want to try one of these AFX helmets.
i've tried slipping sunglasses on while wearing the helmet and the grooves tend to keep my glasses up off my nose. There are channels for the arms to slide into the helmet making it easy to put on/take off glasses, but where they sit is slightly uncomfortable for me.
