So this is my first glove since I got my first bike. They run a bit small but from what I'm told all alpinestars do. I've done about 8000 miles with them commuting to school daily and having fun on the weekends. I use them year round since they're currently my only glove and their most certainly not the best for winter but they do the job. In the summers they're fine, never too hot. Mine have no wear other than where i scraped the top of my index finger after dropping my bike at a stop. I also love the style with the full carbon fiber back piece. All in all I'm pretty sure they'll stand up to another 8000 miles easy.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I've only owned one helmet before this and it was a $60 Bilt helmet so I don't have the best comparison base. That being said i like this helmet waaayyyyy better. it isn't much quieter than the Bilt helmet but in terms of airflow, comfort, and the awesome scorpion visor it's a lot nicer. Was a bit small when it first arrived but fits like a charm now, though I really have no use for the inflatable cheek pads since I got it in the same size as my old Bilt helmet and it fits perfectly. My friend who wears a medium can fit nicely in my large helmet by pumping it up though so you could possibly go a size up from your usual.
