For the price, you will not find a better ADV helmet. The build quality, graphics, and style are top-notch, although some of the vents were a little obstructed from the molding process but nothing that 5 minutes with an xacto knife can't fix. The cheek pads are a little on the large side and felt a little weird at first, but I quickly got used to it the first ride and never think about it now. The liner is removable and washable. The ratchet strap is way cool, but the nylon it attaches to is like 6" too long so it flaps when you're riding. My only real complaints are with the shield. First off, it only has 3 positions; full open, half closed, and full closed. It needs at least 2 to 4 more, especially so it can be cracked slightly open to help prevent fogging. Speaking of fogging, a pinlock anti-fog shield would be an excellent addition or accessory. Lastly, an internal drop-down sun shield would be da bomb! At a little over $100 bucks, this helmet is a bargain and as-is it's worth 2x's that amount right out of the box. But revise the shield positions, add an internal sun shield, have an option for a pinlock, and update the cheap visor screws from plastic to aluminum, and the helmet would still be a value at 3x's the current price....

Arrived as promised and easy to mount by hand after letting them sit in the sun for a couple hours. I have used Anakee 2's before and they work well on my Vstrom DL 650. Tread life is slightly better than average for an 80/20 tire and on road grip in wet and dry is excellent. They work well for hard packed gravel and caliche roads but this is not a deep sand or mud tire as it packs up just like a Tourance or the others with this similar tread pattern. Next time I think I'm gonna try the new Anakee 3's that just came out as I'm looking for a tire I can get some mileage out of. The high summer temps combined with the sharp aggregate chip seal asphalt here in south Texas eats a rear tire down to the cords in 4k to 5k miles.
