The pants are comfortable except for the elastic waistband. It's pinches a bit. However, they are windproof and the heat is evenly distributed. I didn't notice any overly hot points anywhere. I wore these under jeans in temps around 25 degrees F. I couldn't feel even the slightest chill. Wonderful ! Don't expect them to work with the BMW plug as the CANBUS won't allow it. I have the heat troller hooked directly to my battery so no worries. I also like the thinness of the material as I don't like riding with lots of bulk under my gear. I've no complaints. Have a nice day.

Firstgear Dual Portable Heat-Troller designed for 1 person to variably control heat separately to multiple garments such as a jacket liner and gloves It can also be used to balance the heat between any set of heated garments, such as jacket liner on 1 control and gloves, pants and socks on the other Each rider must have their own Heat-Troller Portability allows you to use it with more than one 12-volt DC motorcycle or ATV Make sure to check out our Firstgear Heated Gear Buyers Guide

Seems heavy duty. Not a plastic piece of junk. I like that it's waterproof and small enough to pocket or hide in a tank bag pocket. I placed mine on top of my Wunderlich elephant bag and secured with the cable straps.
I must add that it would not work with my accessory plug to power a First Gear jacket. The jacket was rated at 90 watts which was too much for my 2013 BMW F 700 GS. No big deal since the troller comes with a wiring harness for direct connect to the battery.
Overall, good product overall.

This jacket will not work with my accessory outlet on my BMW 2013 F 700 GS. At 90 watts, there too much of a draw, I suppose. No big deal, though, to use the provided wiring harness from the heat troller.
The jacket is super soft inside and out. Even without the heat on, the jacket blocks the wind very nicely.
I recommend this product. Just keep in mind your other wiring options since it won't work with some accessory outlets.
