I just purchased this tire, so I cannot speak for longevity, but I can speak of the grip. This is by far the most grippy tire I've ever had. It has a nice warm up time and I've have lean angles over 40* on the bike without an issue. I hear this tire lasts quite Long so I can't see why one shouldn't buy this tire.
