I have the 1st Rasp jacket and It's past its prime so I ordered the new one. It's great looking and comfortable with the 8 point surefit system it's quite easy to get the fit just right. It breathes better than the 1st Rasp and looks better. The removable liner is also not just a vest but a full long sleved liner which was a very welcomed surprise! The free air mesh panels are at least twice as big as the original.
The only cons are it only has the additional outer armor on the shoulders not on the upper arm/elbow/lower arm like the first Rasp did. I also like the original pant zipper attachment better than the current jacket's 4 belt loop attachment points.
But I would still highly reccomend this jacket.

Would this be considered a three season jacket?

Yes, it's a good 3 season jacket. NO IT DOES NOT HAVE A HOODIE it does have a full length zip in/out liner not just a vest like the description says. It flows air really well when you want it to and shuts it out very well when it's all closed up.
