I've been looking for a pair of riding jeans for a while now, but I just never liked the big baggy look. These aren't. They have a nice fit. I normally wear them when I go for a days ride, but have worn them out as well. No one ever knew they were riding jeans. They have a nice feel to them on the outside. Just a little softer then normal jeans. I was worried about them being uncomfortable on the inside with the Kevlar and mesh, but they are not at all. The only thing that reminds me these are riding jeans are the hip pads in them. It's not a bad feeling, but you do know they are there. I can't comment on the knee armor because the pockets are too low to use. If I place the knee armor at the top of the pocket, the top of the armor comes to just past the bottom of my knee cap. That is my only real problem with them. Are they hotter then normal jeans in the heat? Yes. But not by much. It is worse if you are off the bike in hot temps, but moving down the road they are almost the same as normal jeans. One thing I did notice that I wasn't expecting was that in stop and go traffic, they helped keep the engine heat off my legs. Yes, my legs were hot, but they weren't being blasted by hot exhaust pipes. Same traffic in normal jeans bakes my legs. If you're on the fence about these because of the bad placement knee pockets, just think about using a strap on knee armor. It makes washing the jeans a lot easier, plus you can take the armor off once you get where you're going.
Yes, I recommend this product.
