Arai Signet-Q Helmet The Arai Signet-Q (the long-oval shaped cousin to the RX-Q) is the product of a racing lineage going back to the late 1970s. Since Arais inception, their RX Line of helmets has set an international standard for rider comfort and safety. The Signet-Q is perfection incarnate, blending modern materials and safety features with decades of knowledge and racing heritage. The result are features like an eyeport designed to maximize peripheral vision, an aerodynamically tuned outer shell and a beautifully crafted and ultra comfortable liner. All these features, combined with industry-leading protection, provide riders with an unmatched level of safety and comfort. A longer shell shape on the Arai Signet-Q Helmet gives 5mm more space front to back allowing for a larger number of heads to fit comfortably. The shape of the Arai Signet-Q Helmet releases forehead pressures and eliminate hot spots for a more comfortable fit every time. This shape works best for riders with a long oval headshape. Features: Both the top vent set and side exhaust cowls are direct carryovers from the RX-Q Brow vent ducting redirects to flow air across the temples DDL-4 exhaust vent to the 10mm wider eye port (5mm on each side) Long Oval Fit SAI MAX-Vision Brow Vent shield Clear Pinlock Max-Vision Brow Vent Pinlock lens included Elongated shell adds 5mm from front to back Long-oval shape helps prevent hot spots Multi-density single piece EPS liner Removable, replaceable, washable interior Dry-Cool surface material for rapid displacement of heat and moisture away from your head and into the ventilation airflow for added comfort while riding and a quick dry between rides 5mm peel-away temple pads adds another level of customization, giving the helmet interior a little extra width when needed Enhanced for customizable micro fitment interior without the need to purchase extra interior components FCS (Facial Contour Support) cheek pad design Innovative and exclusive spring support adds just the right amount of pressure when needed while being worn Snell M2015 and DOT

The fit of the ARAI is great, but that's subjective. The build quality of the interior is great.
It was a good fit for me out of the box, but if I wanted to tinker and add/remove foam layer for real or perceived improvements, there were a lot of options.
The ARAI is lighter than my previous helmet (which had a polycarbonate shell). I have a naked bike and at speed the signet-q is well balanced with no buffeting.
Mounting a sena 3s was ok, but it was slightly difficult to route the cables on the ARAI. The speakers end up very close to my ears, if they were a millimeter thicker they'd bother me.
I always use earplugs, but appreciate low noise level anyway, especially when listening to podcasts. The ARAI is much quieter yet better vented than other helmets I've had.
Mounting the pinlock shield took some trial and error, but the next time it will be easier.
Taking the shield off is not as easy as with other helmets, but I don't do it regularly so I don't mind.
I wear glasses and the ARAI is perfect for that. I considered a competitor helmet because the fit for my head was comparable with the Signet-q, but my glasses did not stay where I wanted - deal breaker.
The brow vents are cheap and hard to operate with gloves on at speed, it feels like they'll break off at some point. Weird, considering the overall quality of the other helmet parts.

Forcefield Back Protector Pro Sub 4 The Forcefield Back Protector Pro Sub 4 is the worlds first Motorcycle back protector to transmit less than 4kn when subjected to the standard CE test. The Pro Sub 4 has been specifically designed to test at under 4kn when subjected to the standard CE test EN1621-2. Independent testing by SATRA shows a mean test result of 3.38kn transmitted energy, making it the first motorcycle back protector in the world to attain this level of performance. Constructed with a removable and washable outer cover to give the rider the ability to keep the back protector clean and hygienic, it also makes the protector more flexible as it is not bonded at the edges, this in turn makes it more comfortable to wear, a prime consideration in the design process of any Forcefield product. As with all Forcefield Body Armor, the Pro Sub 4 has RPT (Repeat Performance Technology) ensuring continued and consistent protection even after multiple impacts. Features: Removable and washable outer cover CE Level 2 Rated Protection RPT (Repeat Performance Technology) Comfortable and non restrictive Flexible Breathable Molds to body shape Adjustable waist and shoulder straps Multi Sport use

I highly recommend this to anybody looking for a quality back protector. Protection wise, it feels effective, but I haven't really tested it.
It is thick (that's part of why it's effective), but not excessively so. It is very pliable and after a few minutes you forget you are wearing it.
The covered area is larger than average and includes the tailbone, which is a definite plus, especially compared to jacket inserts.
I plan on tacking it in place to the lining of my jacket, but even if you don't do this, it takes seconds to put on and take off the back protector.

I use these under my riding pants. Putting them on takes about 30s per leg. They can be worn for hours on and off the bike without a problem and they don't hinder walking.
Unlike the typical protectors integrated to riding pants, these stay in place and cover the knee and shin in every leg configuration.
The sides of the knee are not as well covered as the front, but that seems to be the case with most knee protectors.

I put these hip protectors in my riding jeans with some easy DIY modifications to the stock pads pockets.
They conform to the body and fit well, adding minimal extra bulk.
Taking the original pockets as a reference, the pads are in their ideal location to protect the greater trochanter (the "bony" part of the hip) from a direct hit, but the area covered is not very large.

I am very satisfied with this boot especially for the price.
The sole is fairly stiff, but does not impede walking around comfortably, especially after some breaking in.
The boot is CE rated (level 1). The protection level seems adequate, especially around the ankle, but obviously the shin is not completely covered.
The only flaw seems to be the zippers: not totally smooth to operate, mainly because they have to follow a contoured path on stiff material.
I cannot yet comment on durability, but the quality of the manufacture is excellent.
