Quality is good. Air flow definitely better than other shorts. I feel a little safer with these on after seeing some serious rash on my friend. Little weird at first but after 10 minutes you forget you have them on. The tail pad would definitely help keep your tailbone safe and the ce thigh pads would keep you from rashing up for sure. A little awkward sitting down on a hard surface but when riding you don't notice. I was telling my friend when he came over that i got a pair. He didn't even notice i had them under my jeans... Low profile and good protection... Not much but just a little piece of mind.. I would recommend.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Dainese Hard Shorts vs. AStars Bionic Freeride

What will be the major differences between the Dainese Hard Short and the Alpinestars Bionic Freeride? They both seem to have hard protection at the thigh and coccyx and soft padding at the hip. At similar pricepoints, which is more protective at the hip? Which is more comfortable (riding and walking)?
I cant attest to the bionics but i bought a pair of the dainese awhile back and they are great. I feel they are more protective... they have the ce rated hip pads and the tail bone protector.. riding and walking they are comfy and give you a lot of air flow. They arnt very bulky either.. Cant hardly tell they are on..i ordered a large and i wear 36 pants and shorts.. they fit perfect
