Does the Rev It Defender GTX sizing for the chest change with and without the SAS TEC back protector?

I have a 40" chest and was planning on buying the medium size. I am also planning on buying the Sas Tec back protector which will obviously take up space inside the jacket. I don't mind a snug fit and prefer a more form fitting look without being restrictive. Should I stay with the medium or size up to the large?

Same question for the pants, 32" waist and plan to buy the Sas Tec hip protectors. Should I order Pant size medium or large?
