The jacket gets hot in two areas: around your heart and in the same position on the back. You definitely will feel the heat if the jacket is pressed up against your body. However in the riding position, these hot spots don't really touch you, especially if your position is more aggressive.
I was hoping I could wear this under a summer jacket and be ok in 50 degree weather. The problem is that this jacket can really only do it's magic if its behind insulation. Without a windshield, the wind was just cutting right through it and negating any of the heat it was generating.
So overall it was OK. I wanted it so I could negate some of the layers I was wearing, but it didn't end up working out that way. If you don't have a windshield or more layers, this jacket won't work wonders by itself.
No, I do not recommend this product.

So far these over pants have been the easiest over pant to get in and out of that I have owned. I love not having to take my monstrous boots off to get these on. It's super easy to access your pockets under the pants, though I have noticed they are a pain to zip back up if you are on the bike at all.
The snaps in the back for your waist are somewhat questionable to me. I wonder if they would stay snapped in a fall. So far I haven't really had any problems with them becoming undone.
I've been riding in 30 to 60 degree weather and have stayed comfortable. I get the feeling these could get steamy in the summer heat.
Yes, I recommend this product.
