Big question is whether you want to have a little increase in difficulty to use for the benefit of smaller amount of stuff on your helmet. Battery life for a long ride requires you to plug in for a little bit towards the end. Not a big deal because you're sitting on the bike anyway. If you forget and lose power you can just plug in and instantly be hooked up again.
For a modular helmet, the microphone is a little bit in the way. You get used to working that out though overtime.

Live in s. oregon. Rains all winter but 90's and dry all summer. Tried to find one jkt to work to save $ so went with this jacket. Havent used in rain. But it seems that it will work with drizzles and cool weather. I change out the liner for my gerbings heated liner which gives me just a bit more control. Very good vent. Good fit.
Wish the neck was more comfortable but def not a deal breaker. High viz gives me a little more confidence that the crazies will spot me. People also think i am a good rider i think!
I think in the end i will need a non mesh coat as well for the downpours and extended cool rides but for 80% of what i do this jacket supports my needs.

All In all a great product. The money is a little much but once you take the plunge it really is a worthwhile product to have. Makes for a more enjoyable riding experience. Really needs to be close to your skin to work effectively. An outer layer is required if the temperatures are cool at all.
Yes, I recommend this product.
