I initially bought the Rapid Transit Recon 19 bag but that thing was tiny. I needed a bag to be able to take my laptop to school and the Recon didn't cut it.
The Tech Aero Backpack is a well made bag with tons of great features. I love the helmet holder and is the best one I have seen thus far. I haven't had to use the rain cover yet but I think it will work just fine. While the bag doesn't hold nearly as much as I would like or need, it serves its purpose well.
The issue I have and will probably need to remedy by buying a tank bag, is that I have to chose b/t a change of clothes or my school materials. I didn't want to have to take a tank bag and backpack to school, but hanging out in my riding gear all day seems far less realistic than carrying around another bag all day.

I needed a cover b/c my apartment complex frowned on me keeping it under a canopy on my back porch. While a sweet manufacturer cover sounds dope, Ive heard from far too many people that you should avoid this and stick with something subtle. This Nelson-Rigg cover seems like something that will go the distance. Thankfully Ill be getting some garage space soon and this cover will only be used while traveling but I look forward to many years with this one.

It's bright color serves a two fold purpose, it deters people looking to grab the bike real quick and it also is a reminder to me to remove the lock before riding.

I haven't rode many places where the lock has been used but when I park it at home I lock it up before putting the cover on the bike. I keep it and the leash in the trunk and would like to imagine that the bright cord and lock would be a theft deterrent but I guess we will see.

After trying on helmets in all the local moto shops, I was highly discouraged b/c the only helmets that were fitting were XL+ and after measuring online, it seemed my head was no bigger than a L. But what it would seem is that my head shape is what was causing the issues. The Shoei and Icon helmets were the only ones that were fitting me and even those didn't fit that well. So I stepped out on a limb and went with the Icon Airmada, and having only tried on the Alliance, I was petrified that it wouldn't fit. Ha, to my amazement and joy, this helmet was the best fitting and most comfortable helmet I tried on and have ever worn.
I can't wait to use this helmet when it warms up b/c I can easily see how well it is ventilated, but as cold as it is, it is almost too ventilated. It is possible that I am missing something, but I've closed all the vents I can find and there is still a bit more air flow than I would like in 30deg temps. This is also what accounts for the noise, but it is mild to say the least. This week I'll be installing a bluetooth setup in my helmet and will know for sure about the road noise, but I think it will be less than the bluetooth in my WRX.

Have only put about 500miles in these pants, but so far they are truly amazing. They do indeed fit tight, but all of the previous reviews encouraged me to go a size up and am glad I did. I am 5'11", 180lbs and wear 34/30 pants and the XL are just borderline too snug with all of the liners in, but incredibly warm. Ive been riding in 30deg temps and often my legs have been sweating b/c these pants are so warm. And while I haven't rode in them in hot weather, taking the liners out I can tell a radical difference in temp and I think these pants will breathe wonderfully come summer. I was a bit iffy about getting riding pants b/c most of them are so expensive, but these were just affordable enough to try, and now I don't go on the bike without them.
