This was the first Clymer Manual I ever used and was rather disappointed. I have always used Haynes manuals and factory service manuals, so I was used to skipping the obvious and only explaining the nitty gritty, however the book seems far more suited to the person whose experience ends at oil changes and maybe brakes. Many answers I desired I had to look online for and most of the jobs I've done thus far needed to be supplemented as the specifics weren't specific enough. The details they give seem unnecessary to me and the ones they omit are essential, but it may just be a different book for a different owner.

Having began riding in the dead of winter, I quickly became accustom to being wrapped up in buku layers and winter riding gloves. My hands were some of the few places that seemed to get cold on longer rides in sub 30deg temps, but these liners paired with my Icon Patrol Waterproof Gloves did the trick. Ha, in fact, most of the time it seemed like these were just overkill b/c they added some serious heat.

Since growing out my hair and beard I've needed to take measures to keep all that manliness out of my way and this lid fits the bill nicely. I love everything about it, from the materials, to the look, to the fit, to the design, it is all top notch stuff!

I bought two of these and am really glad I did as It took both to cover a fully packed backpack and mount it securely to my last 08 SV650s. I would regularly feel behind me to make sure everything was still in place and there never was a moment where it felt like anything was coming loose. These eventually offered some sweet peace of mind in traveling with a bit more stuff and are a seriously cheaper option to buying dedicated tank bags, or luggage pieces.

Michelin Pilot Power 2CT Front Tires Michelin Pilot Power 2CT tires add two-compound technology to the already renowned Pilot Power range. While 2CT technology originated in MotoGP racing, Pilot Power 2CT tires are intended for the most demanding sportbike riders, who use their bikes both on the road and for track days. Its tread surface is divided into three separate areas, incorporating two different rubber compounds. This helps provide numerous benefits in terms of dry grip, lean angle, handling and progressive acceleration and braking on wet surfaces. Features Real Moto GP technology from the tire company that has won 15 consecutive GPWorld Championships 20 softer rubber mix on the edges of the tread yields phenomenal cornering grip Unprecedented lean angles 51.2 degrees in the dry on Michelin's test track Precise handling and feedback Lap times within 7 of Michelin Moto GP slicks when fitted on Colin Edward's Yamaha Moto GP bike at Malaysia's Sepang circuit in February 2006 Track Day tire that is equally at home on the road

This was the first moto tire I replaced and it was a huge improvement from the economy tire the previous owner threw on there. I unfortunately didn't have the bike longer than 6months to assess tread life, but in the 4,000 miles I put on it, it showed very little signs of use. I was only caught out in the rain once but I was riding for a little while before I even noticed so thats a great quality.

This piece served a dual purpose in helping to preserve the shape of my big beard that tends to get a bit crazy after a ride, and also cuts an insane amount of chill out of a cold weather ride.

I started riding in the middle of the winter and these were my first riding gloves, definitely made learning clutch control and braking tricky, but was totally worth it. I rode all winter with these gloves and eventually bought some liners as my longer rides in sub 30deg temps needed a bit more covering to stay safe and comfortable. Even without the liners they felt safe, I could still feel my fingers, they were just super cold.
So two thumbs up for some gloves that I would image would offer some decent protection in case you went down and at the end of the day they really just feel like snow gloves I wore as a kid.

I initially bought the Rapid Transit Recon 19 bag but that thing was tiny. I needed a bag to be able to take my laptop to school and the Recon didn't cut it.
The Tech Aero Backpack is a well made bag with tons of great features. I love the helmet holder and is the best one I have seen thus far. I haven't had to use the rain cover yet but I think it will work just fine. While the bag doesn't hold nearly as much as I would like or need, it serves its purpose well.
The issue I have and will probably need to remedy by buying a tank bag, is that I have to chose b/t a change of clothes or my school materials. I didn't want to have to take a tank bag and backpack to school, but hanging out in my riding gear all day seems far less realistic than carrying around another bag all day.

I needed a cover b/c my apartment complex frowned on me keeping it under a canopy on my back porch. While a sweet manufacturer cover sounds dope, Ive heard from far too many people that you should avoid this and stick with something subtle. This Nelson-Rigg cover seems like something that will go the distance. Thankfully Ill be getting some garage space soon and this cover will only be used while traveling but I look forward to many years with this one.

It's bright color serves a two fold purpose, it deters people looking to grab the bike real quick and it also is a reminder to me to remove the lock before riding.
