Just proves that you don't have to spend high dollar amounts for good gear. I've gone to almost all AGV products from head to toe and couldn't be happier. They make great quality items at very reasonable prices.
I am 5'7'' 150lbs and I bought a medium pant. I use them as overpants for commuting and touring. Very happy with the fit and comfort of the pant and they fit very nicely over my 31x30 jeans. The knee armor is a little low when walking but sits very well in place when in the riding position. The two separate liners really add a nice array of configurations based on what your needs are. Cannot beat the features and quality for the price!

Are you able to upgrade any of the padding, specifically in the hips?
Yes, the hip pockets are velcro'd on the top and will accept replacement armor.
