How long is the cord on the 12 Volt DC Plug Adaptor?

I'm considering Gerbings heated gear, but the power port (cig lighter) is on the lower right hand side of my batwing fairing. If this 12 Volt DC Plug Adaptor is not long enough, would a marine quality extension fit the bill?
