I wear 34 x 34 in normal jeans, ordered these as 34 x 34 and they fit *me* fine. But I have narrow hips, and not much butt. Not meaning to be weird just set the stage for why I think most people with normal build will want to order one waist size larger than what they wear in normal jeans. For me these fit similar to how my major brand jeans in style "550" fit, except these ride slightly lower on the waistline maybe an inch less length from crotch to top than those "550" jeans. This is a right out of the box review, haven't been washed yet. Knee pads ride perfectly over my knee caps in the riding position of my motorcycle. The Kevlar in the seat seems kind of thin. I expected they might be kind of stiff in the seat because of the Kevlar there but they feel like normal jeans there too.

They work, they run true to the size chart. They look good but who sees socks? If winter wasn't getting ready to wind down I'd buy another pair to have more. My feet do not sweat in them at all that I can detect. Nice and dry.

For sizing comparison I wear 34 x 34 in a market dominant brand of jeans (not sure if can mention brand names...) and I bought size Large-Tall for these Tourmaster Calibers and they fit well. They don't hang excessively in the crotch and they reach down to the ankle area of my boots. I bet if I wore a 36" jeans inseam they would still be just about long enough. I always wear them over my jeans as overpants. With a belt on the jeans it does make fastening the Caliber's at the waist snaps a little tight so I usually don't wear a belt on the jeans. They fit fine over the jeans even with the thermal liner installed. They are absolutely warm and no wind is getting in at highway speeds. Lowest temp I've ridden with them is 38 deg (F) and toasty. Keeping in mind my motorcycle has some limited lower faring but not a lot, so legs are still getting some of the slipstream I think. The knee pads and hip armor seem to sit in the right places when seated on the motorcycle.

Been riding in 38 - 50 deg (F) weather with these, but no rain yet. Measure chart showed my hand as large. i bought X-large and they fit just right. My motorcycle has heated grips and [smallish] grip farings so while these are comfortable and warm for me @ 38 deg at highway speeds 'mileage may vary' when used on a motorcycle with standard grips w/ no grip farings. I like 'em. They seem to be very well made.

Nolan N104 Helmet - Solid Colors Nolan N104 Helmets represent an evolutionary step for Nolan as they replace the much touted N103 Helmet. When compared the older N103, the Nolan N104 Helmet offers a helmet which is much lighter (7oz), features a lower profile through the use of multiple shell sizes, better aerodynamics, as well as a much larger viewport for increased visibility. The (patented) chin guard rotation movement with elliptical trajectory makes it possible to keep the total size of the helmet's front section to a minimum, when the chin guard is open. The sail effect is consequently highly reduced and riding comfort is still guaranteed, even when the chin guard is lifted. The new ultrawide eyeport is the largest of any Nolan helmet, both vertically and laterally for maximum field of view. The AIRBOOSTER ventilation system is equipped with an air intake in the chin bar, another intake in the brow and two rear extractors at the rear. The inner comfort lining includes removable cheekpads, inner liner, neckroll and chin curtain and is easily removable and washable as well as antifungal and antibacterial. New, redesigned comfort liner also accommodates eyeglasses much more easily than before. All Nolan N104 helmets are also N-COM B4 ready ( N-COM B4 is designed expressly for the N104 and is sold separately). Shell Features Injected polycarbonate GE Lexan shell 7oz lighter than the Nolan N103 Two Shell engineering allows Nolan N104 to offer sizes from 2XS to 3XL (2XS-LG and XL-3XL) Dimensionally correct sizing allows ample cubic volume in chin/nose area Faceshield Features Face shields are now sized to fit the two different shell sizes (2XS-LG and XL-3XL) Ultra wide eye port opening is the largest on any Nolan helmet for superior visibility Shield is changed by a simple push button mechanism Pinlock shield included with each helmet VPS (Vision Protection System) is new slider bar to lower, push button release for instant retraction VPS lens is scratch and fog resistant Chin Bar Features Centromatic chin guard opening mechanism requires dual action, simultaneous action to prevent accidental opening Dual action opening mechanism is positioned in the centre of the chin guard and allows for easy, one-handed opening Ventilation N104 has new AIRBOOSTER ventilation system, ensures optimal ventilation where is is most required Air intake in the chin guard draws air in and onto the inside of the faceshield 3 position top vent (closed, crown vent, crown/brow vent) 2 venturi exhaust ports at rear of helmet New plastic vent tube channels in EPS disperse cool air throughout the helmet interior Inner Liner Features removable cheek pads, inner liner, neck roll and wind protector The inner padding of the new N104 is easily removable and washable and antibacterial The shape of the inner comfort padding facilitates eyeglass wearing Reflective insert at the centre of the roll neck further improves the rider's visibility at night Neck roll can be removed easily, for more comfort in the warmer months Other Features N-Com Communication System compatible (sold separately) Features new Microlock2 quick-release retention system Microlock2 consists of a plastic ergonomic opening lever, and of a second aluminium toothed and holding lever Microlock2 minimizes the possibility of unintentional opening while still making it ergonomic and easy to use Meets or exceeds D.O.T. standards

I really wanted a modular but have a long oval head shape. Most all modulars are more for round head shapes, even this N104 says for intermediate ovals but it is working well for me. Out of the box wearing it around the house-- slight warm spot high on forehead. Solved this by removing liner and performing an "accelerated break-in" by using my thumbs to exert light to medium pressure on the polystyrene impact material at the front in the area of the warm spot and also at the rear where the mid to upper area of my head contacts. This was effective and left only a very slight compression of the polystyrene in each limited area it was performed. Result was instant comfort. Longest I have worn is two hours straight and completely comfortable with no hot or warm spots. It runs lightly small, my head measures 23 inches around and I bought size Large. Its is a little narrow putting it on around the ears but once on it is very comfortable around ears, cheeks were a little overly firm at first but quickly eased up slightly. Not a huge fan of the quick lock buckle mechanism but you get used to it. Visibility is very excellent peripheral and up/down. Pinlock system works as advertised. I wear glasses when riding and the helmet works with them fine, does not press them into temples of my head or pin them behind ears uncomfortably. What tends to fog at long stoplights is my glasses but that is not the helmet's fault. Easy solution there just crack the face shield open or raise the entire chin guard. I got the Outlaw version of the N104-- same helmet just matte black finish and subdued Nolan logo on back. Kind of wind noisy at speed but most modulars are, thats the trade-off. Helmets does crackle and pop a bit when putting it but that's just the way the shell material is I think. I would buy this helmet again in a heartbeat. I found the inner sun visor to be just the right amount of tint but that is more personal preference and will vary by rider. Incredible value, this helmet, that's my take.

Bought this the first week of January, use it maybe 15 times since. The inner liner is already fraying on the front left lower corner with some of the insulated fill showing. The stitching on that corner gave up or something. Today the main zipper's handle broke off as I went to zip it up getting ready for a 38 deg (Fahrenheit) ride after work. Note that this happened in the house when the jacket was warm from having just come out of the closet. Everythinbg else about it is okay, fit, wind protection, etc. With liner its okay for around town with a t-shirt and fleece sweatshirt underneath down to about 35 deg for me, but your mileage may vary depending on how hot or cold blooded you are, I'm somewhat in the middle. The main zipper at first I thought was plastic but on closer inspection it appears the handle is a really low quality "pot metal" or cast form metal of poor quality. Cannot recommend this jacket. Its more or less impossible to zip up now.

Video says intermediate oval head Q&A here says long oval, which is it?

Hi, In the video review Anthony says this helmet is for intermediate oval heads, but I see the answer here says long oval. I'm a long oval and I have this helmet in my revzilla cart, but need to clear up whether this will fit long oval or not.

These are not intended to be an over-pant, correct? They are intended to just wear with underwear?

Other answer is quite correct. See my review. I wear what could be called "medium tall" in jeans and i ordered Large tall in these Tourmaster pants and they fit over my jeans even with the thermal liner installed.
