After trying a few others, this is by far the best system on the market. The sound quality is freaking outrageous. At 85mph with a Shoei x11 helmet and earplugs it is crystal clear. The radio function is a great bonus. I have it paired to a Samsung Galaxy S II and all of my voice commands work perfect through this. I can make calls, answer calls, talk to text, use navigation, listen to music stored on my phone, and more all with one push of the voice command button and speaking commands for everything else. The only thing I have not had a chance to try is the rider to rider communication, as I don't have anyone that I ride with at this time that has one.
Yes, I recommend this product.

U-CLEAR HBC200 Force Bluetooth Communicator New for 2012 and featuring Boomless ABF Technology, UCLEAR HBC200 Force introduces Super Group Intercom and Multi-Hop technology, specifically designed for group communications with full duplex intercom. Multi-hop technology, used in military tactical communications provides superior sound quality and connection stability over Bluetooth intercom systems that suffer from interference and are line of sight dependent. By incorporating Multi-hop technology, each Uclear HBC200 control unit works as a repeater or relay station, enabling the network to grow as more control units/riders are added to the group. Depending on riding conditions, the intercom range between two riders is up to 700 meters. Adding a third unit/rider increases the intercom range up to an additional 700 meters. Add a fourth rider and the entire group can communicate up to 2100 meters (1.3 miles) in full duplex intercom mode. Features Music, Calls, GPS (Bluetooth devices) Super Group Intercom (Full Duplex 4 riders) Multi-Hop Communication Extender (up to 700 meters between units or 2100 meters (1.3 miles) between four units.) Voice command for hands-free call pickup Hi-Fi stereo audio (AVRCP, A2DP) Boomless microphone (Industry first) Patented ABF / DSP technology isolates your voice and eliminates all background noise Firmware upgrades available Auto loudness adjustments GPS device compatible (Bluetooth HS/HFP profile required) Easy installation on any helmet including full face or 3/4 helmets One year manufactures warranty

So imagine this, you are cruising down the freeway at 70 mph, a good jam comes on and you go to turn up the volume. As you press the volume button, the unit slides up an off of it's perch. Now you are one handed riding on the freeway at 70mph with a $250 unit in your other hand that you can't get to go back on it's mount, all the time while wearing gloves. The unit has decent sound quality. It was very easy to set up, very easy to pair with my phone, but the fact that it is not held securely enough to the mount to even sustain a button push is not good. Returned it
No, I do not recommend this product.

Comes the G9 One+8 ready or one needs to update the software when unpacking?

The software needs to be updated to enable the One+8. It is super easy and you will be glad you did it, as the program that opens allows you to preset all your radio stations, program a one touch quick dial number, and add fellow G9 riders to your quick links (if you ride with any)

Cardo Scala G9 vs. Sena MH10 - which is louder?

I'm considering purchasing the Cardo Scala G9 or the Sena MH10. I want to be able to hear through foam earplugs. I listened to the Cardo G2 and it wasn't loud enough through earplugs. Has anyone listened to both the G9 and the MH-10 and can tell me which one is louder, taking into account the automatic gain control of the G9? Has anyone listened to these units with good earplugs and can comment if they are loud enough?
I wear the 33dbl blocking earplugs and the G9 goes way louder than I am comfortable with. I can hear it crystal clear even above 85mph. Tried the G2 years ago, same issue as you. U-Clear has good sound, better G2, but no where near the sound the G9 puts out. You will not be disappointed.

Can this system be installed in a HJC IS-MAX BT? Will the sunshade device get in the way of installing the speakers?

Sunshade will not get in the way. You have 2 mic options in the pack, the boom and a wired. they just need to be at mouth level for best results.
