Sidi Adventure GTX Boots The Sidi Adventure GTX Boots are the gold standard for adventure riding boots. Sidi pulled all the best bits from their famous line of off-road boots and combined them with the legendary quality of their road boots to create the glorious hybrid cyborg that is the Adventure Gore-Tex Boots. A bit more comfortable than off-road boots, the Adventure GTX boots incorporate a hinged ankle support, a rigid and shock-resistant heel cup and composite inner sole with a top grain leather construction, replaceable cam-lock buckles and a sweat wicking cambrelle lining. The slim adjustable calf fits easily inside the pant leg of most riding pants, something that is not always possible with a traditional off-road boot, making them all the more attractive to ADV advocates and enduro enthusiasts. To top off the list of premium feathers these boots are 100 waterproof and breathable with a Gore-Tex lining that is Guaranteed to Keep You Dry . Features Soft rubber sole for maximum grip Replaceable strap system Top grain leather construction Composite inner sole Removable arch support Exclusive cam-lock buckle system Cambrelle lining Slim, cool non-bootie design Rigid, shock resistant, anatomically shaped heel for maximum protection Split grain leather inner anti-wear/heat panel Single Flex System upper

I had a pair of Sidi Adventure Rain and every time I rode for extended periods in the rain, my feet were soaked, not wet, soaked! I gave them away and bought the Goretex model and my feet have not been wet again, period. By the way both pairs squeaked like heck no matter what I did to them, but at least these keep my feet dry while they squeak.

I put these on my 2010 F800GS after disappointing experience with other more street worthy dual sport tires. Wow! I noticed the difference as soon as I hit the first dirt road. The front went where I pointed it, and while the rear obviously got better traction the improvement in braking was an unexpected surprise. The street performance is acceptable as long as I remember that I am not riding a sport bike. Yes, it looks like I will get no more than 2500 miles but if I was looking for mileage I would not be trying these anyway. Given what they do in the dirt I will take what I get on the road.

I have three pairs of these gloves and have ridden about 15000 miles in them. First of all they run small. This is the only glove I have ever had to buy in XXL, as I usually always a wear an XL in other models. The air flow in warm weather is very good and they are actually pretty warm in cool weather given the light weight construction. Now the real problems, and this is present in all three pair I own. 1. There is a seam inside the thumb that, while hardly noticeable on a short ride, can become very uncomfortable after several hours use. 2. The Velcro anchor tab that holds the strap on all three pair has come unsewn and pulled loose requiring frequent super gluing. They just seem to be too light for hard use.

I put these on my 2005 1200GS. The next few months I rode them for about 1000 miles in all kinds of conditions, wet, dry, mud, rocks, gravel sand, and highway, then took them off and gave them away because I could not possibly live with them until they wore out. This is without doubt one of the worst tires I have EVER ridden, and I have ridden most of them. Other than a pretty good tread life expectation from the miles that I did ride them, I found no condition in which they performed other than sketchy at best. They were prone to butt puckering type slight slips and skids on any kind of dirt, sand, rocks, gravel and wet pavement, under even moderate use. I never felt confident that these tires were going to stay underneath me.

Probably the lightest helmet I have ever owned, super quiet with visor up or down. The pin lock visor shield NEVER fogs up, even on a cold damp evening ride. The fit is a little too low on my head and limits my vertical field of vision. The airflow is great and you can really feel it when you open the vents, unlike other helmets where you wonder if the vents are open or not. Unfortunately I installed the SRC intercom and it has changed my whole perception of this helmet. See my review of those.

The installation is very difficult, especially the first time you do it. The placement and size of the buttons make it almost impossible to operate while wearing anything other than lightweight gloves. They make the helmet very hard to get on and off, as the mike interferes with the closure of the helmet. The audio quality is extremely disappointing. I have a set of Sena SMH10 on my other helmets and they are much more user friendly, and the sound is as good or better. The only reason I bought these were they were made to fit the Schuberth helmet and the Sena would not easily mount on the Schuberth. Definitely not worth the price, especially since I bought two of them.

Great protection and very comfortable but if you ride in really wet weather all day, your feet WILL get wet with these boots. In fact you will have water standing in the boot. I just rode for 7 days in Iceland. All three riders wearing these boots had wet feet everyday we rode in the rain. Spend some money and get the Goretex if you intend to stay dry. I gave mine away after the ride.
