This jacket is extremely light weight, cool, and comfortable. Perfect for hot summer days.
Function and Safety: I know this is meant to be a light summer jacket, and that mesh and textile will never hold up like leather in a crash. But the armor is also lighter than what I have in my leather Alpinestars jacket, and I may see about swapping it for another set. At least the armor is sized and fitted well for women. The back pad is nothing more than a thin sheet of foam, so that could definitely use an upgrade.
I was hoping for some more reflective elements on the outside of the jacket. My leather jacket has substantial reflective logos across the back and on the forearms. This jacket has teensy reflective strips along the collarbones and upper back. These are pretty much the exact spots that will be covered by my hair or backpack straps. I guess I'll see about a reflective vest for nighttime riding.
The jacket has a zipper to attach to pants (I haven't tried them with my Rev'It pants yet, but the size may be proprietary to Alpinestars). Inside there are several pockets held shut with velcro, and one waterproof pocket with a zipper. This is a genius idea and a really pleasant surprise. The outside of the jacket has two zippered pockets as well.
Fit: I originally bought size XS, as that's my usual clothing size (5'3" 115lbs, 34-25-35) and the right fit according to the Alpinestars size chart. While the jacket fit everywhere else, the shoulders were very narrow and the shoulder armor was pulling up and sitting incorrectly. I returned that jacket and got the size S instead. The shoulders are a perfect fit, and while the arms and torso are a bit looser, it's probably a better size for me since I can wear a thin hoodie and shell underneath when it gets cooler. The velcro adjusters on the sleeve cuffs and on each side of the hips helps customize the fit.
Comfort: This jacket is soooo comfortable. It feels like nothing when I'm on my bike, like I'm just wearing a soft, comfy sweatshirt.
Appearance: This is a great looking jacket. I got the black/white version. It's sporty looking without being obnoxious. And thank you Alpinestars for putting regular logos on this instead of girly script, and leaving off the floral designs and accents. The only indication that it's a women's jacket is the series of small "stella" logos hidden on the inside of the zipper.
Overall I'm very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it!

This helmet does everything you want it to for a bargain price. The liner is very soft and comfortable, rivaling the comfort of high end helmets. The three air intake vents move a lot of air through the helmet, and are easy to open and close with gloves on. The build quality is solid, everything is fit and finished very well, and the matte black rubbery coating has proven to be quite durable.
My only complaints are that it's heavier than my previous helmet, a Suomy Spec 1-R, but the Alliance costs a fraction of what the Suomy did. It whistles a bit at medium speeds, and it's not quiet by any means. Also the visor mechanism isn't the greatest. The shield snaps in and out, and there's a thin plastic orange lever that locks and unlocks everything. It's all hidden by the sideplates which also snap in. I could see all the little plastic tabs getting worn out quickly if you're in the habit of changing your shield often.
All said, it's a great helmet for a more than reasonable price.

REV'IT! Women's Airwave Pants The perfect match for the Airwave ladies' jacket, these trousers are also great summer over-pants to wear on top of your jeans when commuting. The large air mesh panels allow for maximum cooling, but that's not all they're on and off in seconds, thanks to the long inside zippers. Reflective panels at the lower legs ensure great visibility at all times, and the fit is designed specifically for a woman's body. Even more, the Knox Flexiform CE-approved armor is located in height adjustable pockets, allowing you to position the armor just the way you like it. Available in classic black or daring off white. PROTECTION FEATURES Outer shell polyester 600D, PWRshell 500D stretch, PWRshell mesh , polyester rib Visibility laminated reflection at calf Protection Knox Lite CE protection at knees , prepared for TRYONIC Seesoft CE-level 1 type B hip protector insert - version RV01 ( sold separately ) ERGONOMIC FEATURES Fit tour fit , regular Adjustability adjustment straps at waist, adjustment tab at ankles Ventilation ventilation panels at legs Features easy entrance zipper at calf, adjustable protector pockets, short connection zipper, elastic at waistband Pockets slit pockets

These are the most versatile riding pants on the market. They're mesh pants that are airy enough to go over jeans, but fully lined and opaque so you can have nothing else on underneath. They're light and provide great airflow, but have full knee armor and hip padding built in. The zippers go all the way up the inseams, so it's easy to put on and take off these pants while wearing boots. The fit is not overly baggy, but they are roomy enough to not pinch or bind up in riding position. The quality and attention to detail is great, and I'm thankful for a gear manufacturer that doesn't insist on vomiting pink and floral designs all over their women's gear. The only signs that these are women-specific pants are the fit and the tiny finish details in light blue (teensy bit of light blue stitching and light blue grommets on the zipper pulls).
I'm 5'3" and have a 25 inch waist, and bought size 34. The pants are a smidge big on me, but overall a pretty good fit. I think some stretch panels could have improved the fit a little, and there is a bit too much material in the crotch when standing or sitting. In addition, I find the waist height a little uncomfortable, but I'm pretty short so it's probably the right fit for someone who is average height. They are also a little bit long on me, but I'd rather have them too long than too short. These are just very minor gripes... overall I'm very happy with these pants and have recommended them to others.

Alpinestars doesn't disappoint with the quality of the SP-2s. The leather is soft and flexible, and the gloves are comfortable straight out of the packaging. Tons of features that you'd usually only find on men's gloves at this price point. They look AWESOME in the white/black colorway. My only complaint is that XS is still a bit big for me. I've tried on other Alpinestars gloves in XS (the SP-1 and I think one of their Drystar models) and the others fit perfectly, even a little bit tight. But the SP-2 gloves in XS are slightly loose all around and the fingers are a bit long. They're still okay but I wish there was an XXS available.
