The SPH-10H is a very nice respectable product with good voice and sound quality. It is easy to install to a certain extent. The tab attached to the ear pads is to short and small to be of any real use when trying to attach it to the helmet. It keeps pulling out of the helmet liner/styo-foam when you put the helmet on. The unit is obviouly made to fit only the narrow strap type helmet chin straps. If your helmet has a foam cover on the straps then this will not fit. I believe a better attachement system is needed to make this unit an outstanding product. Perhap use of ty-wraps across a plastic bar that can fit on the outside of the straps while allowing the ear pieces to connect to it from the inside. This is the solution I made to get mine to work properly. A very good idea just not much thought given to shorty helmet universal fits.

I ware a 1/2 shell helmet my wife wares a 3/4 helmet will the SPH10H fit both or will I need two different units.
The unit will not work well with the 3/4 helmet the best solution for this is to order the headphone piece that fits the 3/4 helmet. This is not hard since the units are compatable with each other electronicly. Also the units are ordered indivually. For your shorty (1/2) helmet you will have to improvise holding the unit onto the helmet. The tab is to small and too short to keep the unit in place. Other than that its a great unit for riding.

Will this unit work with a "shorty" helmet too?
I found that the this unit is best used on a narrow strap (beenie style) helmet. It is the only way to get the unit controls within easy reach. A foam type chin strap or wide chin strap will not work well with this unit. You may have to improvise a fitment to your helmet to suit your needs. The attachment tab is to short and to small to keep the unit in the helmet. Most people pull their straps out first when putting in the helmet to place the ear pieces over the ears. That is if your helmet fits properly. When you do this it pulls the tab out of the helmet.
