I've been wearing these liners with a pair of highly worn Burton snowboarding mittens. At 65mph, in 35 degree weather, any setting above "3" is downright painful. These gloves are awesome.
These have allowed me to continue riding in NY/NJ throughout the winter. With these and only decent gloves or mittens, I can cruise for unlimited amounts of time at triple digit speeds.
Highly recommended. A much cheaper alternative than the heated grip route, and you can install the harness on just about any bike in less than 5 minutes.
The only thing I can't yet comment on is durability, as I've only owned them for two weeks.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Would this set up work in a car using the cigarette outlet.

I am an older guy and cold hurts my hands now. When I get into a car, it takes a long time for everything to warm up and finally get my hands comfortable. Will this work as stated above and how fast does it warm up?
This is probably silly for all the motorcycle riders out there, but not for me.
Thank you.
Believe it or not, I thought about the same thing. I do a lot of snowboarding/outdoor work, and this would be a great way to warm my hands up quickly.

Both cars and motorcycles (anything post 1950s I believe) run on 12 Volt DC. So, yes, they would work. The only issue is whether the company makes a harness to plug into a cigarette lighter. Even if they don't, anyone with the slightest handy background could put one together using a cigarette lighter adapter and the wiring kit it comes equipped with. I'll be doing this soon to use as driving gloves. I'm going to splice the wiring harness into a plug and wire I have off of an old broken 12 volt air compressor.

As for warmup time? I'd say you feel heat within 6 seconds. They do not take a considerable time at all to warm up.
