Just so you know, I'm not a moto geek. I only point out what I like so if I don't call something by its proper name, take your meds and skip to the next word or sentence.
I was going to go GP-Tech but they didn't have my size at the Dainese store. I am comparing this to a $100 Bell Arrow helmet only because I had purchased it last year and would like to point out a few things vs the AGV Grid so those of you that wouldn't normally spend $400 on a helmet can get a better understanding.
First, the comfort level is fantastic with the AGV! The inner materials are soft, yet firm. All of the inner helmet lining can be pulled out easily to wash. The cut outs on the ears are perfect to fit your communication device on, if you so choose. The air flow vents work almost flawlessly. I say 'almost' because I felt a slight chill on my nose in 40 degree weather today. The Bell helmet is like being in a wind tunnel.
Second, the noise level is a night and day difference! I don't have to turn up my music as loud on my Scala G9 when using the AGV. The front design on the helmet helps with this a lot because of the downward angle of the helmet with the inner chin wind blocker on the bottom. The chin vent switch is also located on the inside of the helmet so the wind doesn't knock it down as you're riding which is what usually happens to the Bell.
It is a solid helmet but lighter than my Bell helmet due to the materials used on the outer shell.
I love the design and look of the helmet. I went with black to match the bike. I don't get 'custom designs' (I don't know if AGV has any for this particular helmet) because it's not custom unless you designed it or had someone design it for you. Someone, somewhere has the same helmet as you do so don't spend the extra dough. Have a painter or artist do something to it for you.
My ONLY real gripe is that the helmet is made so well that I had to remove the neck liner in order to install my Scala G9 into the side of the helmet. I'm not knocking the helmet, but now no neck liner for extra comfort. Oh well.
I would definitely recommend this helmet if you're looking for something in between intermediate and pro when it comes to price, durability and comfort.
Hope that helps.
Yes, I recommend this product.

AGV K3 Helmet - Silver The K-3 is near the top end of the AGV entry level range. GP-tech lines and Valentino Rossi replica helmet graphics make this the ideal helmet for young riders and fans of the racing world. The only full-face thermoplastic model in the agv range, the K-3 is the perfect choice for riders in search of a safe, high-quality helmet with attractive design at a modest price. The K-3 design is inspired by the latest AGV developments starting from the Stealth, S-4, and Ti-Tech and continuing with the Blade/Blade LX and GP-Tech that have so clearly and distinctive defined the companys style. This makes the helmets immediately recognizable and distinguished from all the other proposals on the market. In the same way, the differences with the helmet that the K-3 has replaced are equally evident. Features Fabrics Dry-Lex with hygienic treatment Inside padding Removable and washable (excluding neckroll) Number of shells 1 shell size Retention System Double-D ring Shell Painted HIR-TH (high resistant thermoplastic) resin Shield Mechanism Perimetrical visor seal, XQRS (Extra Quick Release System) - shield replacement without tools in few seconds Ventilation System Front air intakes and rear extractors Note Helmet comes with clear shield, tinted shield available for purchase separately.
