I'd never used a balaclava before so I don't really have much of a reference, but it's made a world of difference on my morning and evening commute. I don't live in an area with extreme temperatures but my morning commute ( at 4:30 am ) is far more comfortable during the winter with the balaclava. It seems to have the most wind protection in all the right places and it really works. I only have one real complaint and perhaps I'm just not using it right. By the time I've ridden for a bit, the collar on the balaclava often comes out of my jacket and lets air leak in. This happens when I turn my head when changing lanes. It just seems like it may be a little short. Again, I just might be doing something wrong but I can't imagine what. Overall it's a great product.

Size & fit?

I wear a size "Small" in helmets & was wondering if this would still fit me tightly. I bought the Arctiva balaclava in the smallest size which was "Sm-Med", and it was actually too big for me.Also, is it supposed to leave the nose uncovered? I wear glasses so I'd probably prefer it to just cover the mouth. I'd also be using this for the winter and I'm sure it's fine to block wind, but does it add any warmth?
I wear a medium helmet and I was surprised to find that this balaclava fit me pretty well, but if not it was maybe a little bit large. I'd be a little concerned about the fit if you're a size small helmet. Maybe wait and see if you get some other opinions?
