I purchased these gloves a couple of weeks ago along with the pro carbon model without the metal plate covering the knuckles. Two very different gloves...
This model (with the plate) offer utmost protection and rigidity offered as far as I have seen. Upon trying these on, it is obvious to the rider that it would be challenging to find a better model as far as safety goes. That being said, the inner material is a bit coarse and not nearly as comfortable as the model without the metal plate covering the knuckles. The other model seems to have a soft fabric interior, while these are simple leather. The stitching is also located on the interior (touching the skin), which can cause a bit of irritation.
The Valentino Rossi model is very similar to these, but has stitching on the exterior to encourage a softer feel on the skin- if you have $350 to spend, they are a better choice.
If you are looking to stay within this price range and aren't planning on doing serious racing, the all carbon model is a better suit for comfort.
Yes, I recommend this product.
