Unlike most guys, I don't mind the look of the stock antenna mirrors - I actually kind of like them. But in my case, I was never able to adjust them so I could see directly behind me without moving my arms and sliding over to one side. I picked up one of these guys and with it mounted on the right side bar end. It does exactly what I wanted, which is fill in that blindspot directly behind me.
Couple of things worth mentioning. First, on my bike (2012 R6) it didn't just bolt right on. I had access to a lathe and was able to turn down the bar end to a perfect fit, but if that's not the case you will need one of the adapters. Second, if didn't have the stock mirrors, I would get the next size up (Hindsight) for both sides.
