I bought this jacket a month ago and have used it several times since then. As an article of clothing, it is well designed and fits very nicely. As advertised, heating is almost instantaneous, and the jacket provides comfortable warmth over a wide range ambient temperatures. Once I learned how to use the controller, plugging the jacket into my BMW accessory outlet became a piece of cake. I still am challenged though with what to do with the wiring.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Gerbing's Portable Dual Temp Controller The Gerbing temperature controller has two separate temp-controllers that provide separate controls for two different articles of heated clothing, such as gloves and jacket liner, for the same person. Attach this temperature controller to any solid object with Velcro or attach to your belt with our convenient, optional clip-on case. Dial in your level of comfort. Digital controllers ensure that your heated clothing uses only as much power as requested. Wires are UL listed and completely safe, in all weather conditions. Three-Year Warranty. Note Not for use with two jacket liners only for use with a single jacket liner plus gloves, pants, and/or insoles.

The controller is very easy to use and does just what it says: provides duel temperature control for your gear. The main challenge is finding a place to stash it while riding but yet have it accessible to fine tune.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Can this plug to cigarette lighter rather than to battery.

Gerbings makes an adapter for the BMW-type cigarette accessory outlets that works just fine.

What does the red light flashing on the dual controller mean?

The red light on the dual controller flashes when it it turned on. Is this normal? Just wondering
This happens to me if the controller is on when the engine is started. I infer that there is a drain on power away from the controller that causes the red flashing light.
