I chose this jacket because it had both style and functionality. I am very pleased with both. Rode at 40 degrees and was very comfortable. Haven't had a chance to ride with the mesh alone but it is very light and I'm sure it will be great. The lines and styling are very much flattering. I did order a size larger than I measured out and the fit is great. I didn't want it to fit really snug. I have just enough room to wear a light fleece and still move my arms.

Got this helmet for the high-viz. After 2 other helmet (other brands) attempts, this one finally fit my husbands more oval head shape. It is comfortable and can be spotted easily!

Would this be an good jacket for summer use (80+ degrees)?
I like the look and features of this jacket, and was wondering if it would be an OK jacket for summer time use? The info mentions it is a 4-season, but it also mentions that it only has direct vents to the body in the shoulder area, not the chest area. I plan on riding March thru late October, and its the summer months when the temps can get up t the mid 90's that worry me the most with this jacket.
The Alter Ego has the armor in a completely mesh jacket. Don't think you could wear much less and still be protected. I think the vents you are reading about are in the wind/rain jacket that you can wear over the top. It also has a vest that you can take out.
