I purchased the XD1 to use on my KTM 1290 SA, So far I love it but it has a few small issues that I'll mention. I also purchased with it the Nexx X-com modular system to integrate with my iPhone, Nav, and radar detector which it does seamlessly.
- Great clarity for my music (iPhone), Radar detector S120, Tomtom Nav Rider 400
- Once learned, it links up to everything as soon as i turn on my Nexx X-Com. Love this as I dislike fiddling when i'm trying to get on the road.
- Volume isn't so clear for music/chatting at 70 mph on the highway. Nav is still plenty clear enough.
- They could have made it easier to install on the XD1 meaning channels for all the wires. A little more forethought into this would have been nice.
- Battery has lasted for two days, 8 hours each day before I recharged it.
- I left the X-Com on overnight by accident and it still had plenty of juice for the days ride.
- This system would be a lot better in a full face design that isn't an ADV helmet. Noise level is the nature od the beast in the ADV helmets in my opinion.
All in all, I would buy another one in a heart beat and since Nexx teamed up with Sena and it basically has a S10 that snaps in, why didn't they just go for the next gen S20 with a who lot more features & range?

- The noise level is bad in this helmet but in Nexx's defense I do not know of a single ADV helmet that isn't. It's the nature of the design.
- The extra long chin strap is annoying as there's a lot left after you cinch it up so if you forget to snap the strap you'll have a long tail flopping around.
- After I installed the Nexxcom the headliner in the back keeps popping out. Minor issue but still annoying.
- If you purchased this helmet, plan on spending another $50 on the pinlock shield. This faceshield fogs super easy and is a real problem. So look at it as a $550 helmet, not a $500 helmet.
- Visibility is wonderful!
- Airflow through the vent rocks.
- Quality of the finish on the helmet is awesome.
- The features make this helmet a buy in this price range,
- I love the integrated sun visor!

I installed this mount on my '15 KTM 1290SA and it performs as promised. I passed on the OEM GPS mount because it mounts to the windshield brackets which buffet in the wind and make seeing the GPS screen problematic.
The only negative and reason for 4 starts is it somewhat block the view of the tach with my Zumo 550. That said there really isn't much room for any electronics in the cockpit of this bike.
It's a great mount and head and shoulders above the KTM PoerParts version.

I purchased the Cyclone H2O Rain Jacket and they fit pretty much true to size fitting nicely over my protection riding gear. I got caught in a real frog strangler and they held up great for about 3 hours of downpours. There's not any pockets so this budget rain suit which is exactly what I wanted.
They roll up into a small compression sack and stow easily in your tank bag or luggage.
Hard to beat for the money.

I was looking for a dual purpose helmet for riding my 'tard and rolled the dice on this helmet. It's a nice medium grade helmet without the price tag of the Arai XD or Shoei variant that is big bucks. I wanted a high-viz color (as in don't hit me color) and with the features this helmet offers, there's a lot of bang for the buck. The big selling point for me was the Tricomposite material the shell is made of. Normally in the sub $200 price range you will only find polycarbonate.
Features:
- Tricomposite Fiberglass Shell (very hard to find in a sub>$200 helmet)
- Meets or Exceeds DOT and Eke 22-05 Standards
- “Cool-Core®” Removable, Washable and Moisture Wicking Liner
- “Airstrike™” Direct Course Ventilation System
- “All Clear!™ Sight System” Optically Correct, Anti-Scratch, Anti-Fog and UV Resistant Face shield
- “Speed Strap™” Quick Release Chin Strap
- Weight 3 lbs. 7 oz. (considered light weight for this type of helmet)
This is a bit of a hybrid helmet in the sense it's a mixture on on-road/off-road features. It has huge cut aways on the visor to allow decent air flow at speed without straining your neck when you turn your head under speed. I have used it for the 1,000 miles with speeds up to 75 mph and feel it performs very well regarding the visor design.

Regarding the fit, I normally wear a AGV GT-Tech and an Arai RX-7RR4 in XL. This helmet is an XL (my hat size is 7 1/2" and the fit is very comparable to my AGVs and Arai. My helmets are geared towards an intermediate oval head shape.
The face shield is a little different in the sense that it has a beveled edge on the bottom to allow a more optically perfect view. If it continued all the way to to gasket it usually distorts the view somewhat. There's ample room for those of you that wear sunglasses or prescription glasses. Tons of room!
Vented mouth area operated by a switch on the inside. Shimmy vents on the top venting out the rear of the helmet. You also have extractor vents on the back located on the lower backside that are vented as well. If you notice the slight ridge on the back of the profile pic, it's there to support goggles if you are going to dual sport this helmet. The visor will close with goggles on but I wouldn't say it is seamless. That's a tradeoff to keep the helmet quiet, with more added space on the sides to accommodate goggles would leave gaps and create air noise under normal use. The speed strap release is brilliant! Wow, I wish I had a dollar for every time I've fumbled around with D rings with cold hands.
The liner snaps out and is easily washable. In hot weather, I'll snap out these type of liners and dowse them in cold water and snap back in. Poor man's AC. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase and I hope I don't have to crash test it. It's not for everyone but this one's just right for me!
Life is good!
