I normally wear an 11.5. At the prompting of Customer Service, ordered these in a 12 (they only come in whole sizes). The 12 fits more like a 12.5 or maybe even 13. I had at least 3/4" extra room. They are also a bit wider than I'd like, but I have narrower feet. Exchanging for an 11, I'll check back in after receiving them for a full review.

Can these boots be worn with leathers that fit inside the boot or do they require leathers that fit over the boot?

The ankle opening is fairly thin. You might be able to get leathers in there if you have skinny calves, but not comfortably.
