These boots are really comfortable after a brief break-in period, nice and light, easy to walk in but I feel confident they will provide more than adequate protection. Certainly far better than any low top shoe.
Under jeans they are actually rather cool looking as you can only see the bottoms and they just look like some European style shoe. Got them in November so haven't worn them in heat or rain.
I have a bit of a tough time with shoe sizing as my feet are kinda wide so sometimes a 12 fits, sometimes 11.5, depends if I can find a wide sizing, etc. Got a 12 and it is just right.
The video of this product is very accurate and I don't see any hype there at all. Everything mentioned is exactly what I find in the boots I have and I'm quite pleased with the purchase. I didn't give 5's in all categories because of the short time I've had them and can't say how well they will protect in a crash, how well they will flow in the heat of Florida summers. From what I see in the boots they should be top notch.
Yes, I recommend this product.

TCX X-Cube Boots vs Alpinestars Fastback WP. Which one would you go with?

I'm torn between these two products. I watched the Revzilla review videos for both of them. TCX seems to have a less stiff sole (good for walking), better protection on ankles and toes, and cost $70 less. Are the A* shoes $70 more just because they are more stylish? Is it because they're higher quality? Or am I missing something? Thanks for help and advice!
The TCX X-Cube is definitely more protective and I don't see how the Alpine is a higher quality. It appears to me to be a little bit less expensive shoe to manufacture than the TCX.

If you are going racing you don't want either one of these boots. If you aren't racing you will be walking around when you get off your bike. The Alpine has a Really stiff sole which will not be a bag of fun to walk in for long while the TCX can be worn all day like a pair of sneakers but still provide much more protection for less money and it looks to me to be a better shoe. I wear the TCX and they are really light yet solid as can be.

Seems a fairly easy choice.
