I bought this Tank bag primarily to carry my Canon SLR camera. The Camera fits really nicely with a short lens attached. I intended to get a block of foam and cut out the shape of the camera to make sure it didn't move. As such the tank bag itself is really good and I could have easily adapted it to my needs. It also holds my phone, wallet and a couple of snacks. I think it looks pretty good and seems well built.
And now for the big fat hairy BUT!!!!
I am not sure if I am missing something here but the way the bag attaches seems to make no sense whatsoever. There were no instructions included and none I could find on the cortech site or anywhere else online. As you can see in the photo the mounting base is not attached to any straps. This means that when you detach the bag from the straps the base is loose. I would have thought it made sense for the base to be solidly mounted so that you can leave it on without the tank bag attached or when the bike is being serviced. This is not the case.
Fitting the thing was a nightmare, I had to take all the fairings off the bike and remove all strap fittings to feed the clean strap though a minute gap. This is not something you want to be doing regularly. So again I feel that they could have attached the straps to the mounting base that could be easily tensioned, then found a way to solidly anchor the bag to the base and it would have been good.
All this is immaterial though as the base and bag are too long for my bike a BMW 650. I am really disappointed because the bag is pretty much prefect for my needs but is severely let down by what I consider to be poorly thought out mounting system. And whats wrong with providing instructions??? Even online would be fine just to give you some idea of what you are doing.
Unfortunately I can't recommend this product.

Bang for buck these pants are really good. Lots of thought has gone into them. 2 Liners, 1 x thermal and 1 x waterproof are a good idea.
Style. Personally I really dig the look of these pants.
Comfort. If you are bare skinned with the zip in liners removed it feels like the exposed zip half will chafe a bit.
The knee protection seems to have a little adjustability but when standing the top of the knee protector runs across the middle of my knee. It's a little annoying but when I'm on the bike they are spot on, so it's a small price to pay.
Protection. Seems solid but only a stack will confirm it.
Durability. Time will tell but they seem very durable.
Airflow. Could be better and it looks like they have already improved it in the sand 2 pants.
Features. These guys are bombed up with pretty much all you need for adventure touring. Good size pockets on both legs as well as two water proof pockets up high. I reckon the leg pockets are probably only water resistant. I think it would be better if they too were water proof.
The fit is pretty good. I am 5'7" and wear size 32x29 jeans. I got the regular leg medium based on reviews that said the leg rides up a bit whilst on the bike and I am very happy.
