Shoei Qwest Solid Helmet The Shoei Qwest Motorcycle Helmet was built with a focus on minimizing helmet weight, optimizing fit for comfort and protection and lowering noise levels to bring a new level of comfort to touring helmets. Featuring a slightly round oval internal shape, the Qwest helmet is manufactured with 4 individual shell sizes to keep the helmet as low-profile as possible. The smaller the helmet shell, the lighter the helmet weight. The Shoei Qwest Helmet also uses the Shoei's CW-1 visor technology with the Q.R.S.A system. This system guarantees a tight seal at the faceshield by pulling the shield back to contact the opening seal evenly. The Qwest also touts an extra-wide viewport for additional peripheral vision so you can more easily take in the world around you. Aerodynamic Shell Design Aerodynamic properties are maximized through extensive wind tunnel and feedback from professional riders Dual-Layer EPS liner enhances impact absorption and ventilation Four shell and six EPS liner sizes increase fit options that help to comfortably fit most head sizes Molded air spoiler reduces drag and lift as well as diminishes weight pressure on the neck while riding at high speeds Ventilation System Upper Air Intake Vent is positioned to maximize air volume into the helmet interior Large upper intake vent positioned to maximize performance in high wind conditions Easy to operate large lower intake vent Lower air intake/defroster vent reduces shield fogging and increases ventilation Rear/neck outlets allow for effective air exhaust Breath guard and chin curtain are included Lightweight Advanced Integrated Matrix Plus (AIM+) High performance fiber materials are combined with extremely elastic organic fibers to create a shell structure that is ultra lightweight, rigid and resilient Interior 3D center pad and multi-layered, polyurethane foam cheek pads Cheek pads are replaceable or removable for maintenance Eyeglass-compatible interior Standard chin strap clip neatly secures chin strap CW-1 Shield and Q.R.S.A. I'm a commuter and wanted a Snell helmet. You have to trade some of the fancy feature when you go Snell (modular is out, and usually retractable sun shades are too) but I like the amount of air this helmet flows. Visibility is great in the helmet too. I do think it is a little loud and I usually wear plugs. I also think the cheek pads were a bit tight, but those are replaceable.
I hear that this helmet will soon have a transition lens option. This will make the lack of a retractable sun shade a non-issue. Whatever the future may hold, this helmet is solid and has the conservative look that I enjoy. Ride safe!

These are my first Gortex gloves and I have never felt anything as soft and warm as these feel on the inside. It's like putting your hand into a warm pillow. I like that this glove have some added protection (though I wish they had more). These look great and have a nice fit (I am not a fan of bulky gloves, Winter or no Winter!). I am very pleased this purchase and overall these are fairly impressive winter gloves (quality, fit/feel, style and price). Ride safe!

I'm a heavy commuter in city traffic. Every month I put around 1500 miles on the bike getting to various jobs. Recently, I got these pants because I wanted to be a little safer without needing to dressing down for the office. These are great because I can wear fairly tapered slacks without looking like a storm trooper. To date, no one has ever even noticed me wearing them.
One major drawback:
I am only 5'5 and I needed a large in these Euro fit pants, but they were just too long and the knee pads kept dropping down throughout the day as I walked. Readjusting was getting annoying so I had to have these pants taken up just above the knee by a tailor. This was especially tricky because these pants need to be able to stretch, but a good tailor should be able to help with no problem. Certain stitches allow for stretch.
Other than this problem, these pants have been great and I feel safer knowing that I have on additional quality protection. Riding safely is riding well.
