Hey All,
Been on the hunt for a good light to medium weight jacket to complement the new Harley. Stats: 5-11, 205 lbs, muscular build. I tend to fit well in Xtra large shirts/ jackets.
First impressions on opening the box (extremely fast shipping as usual- thanks RevZ)- excellent quality, very nice denim-like texture. Good quality YKK style zippers.
Tried it on- (size Xtra Large) fit slightly snug with the liner in. Was expecting a little more volume in the chest area. Not uncomfortable or restrictive, just not quite as roomy as I expected. With the liner out- is good to go- very comfy.
First quibble- very minor, but was surprised that the jacket was kinda 'short-waisted', almost like a vest. The Wifey even commented that it looked a just a little short. Upside is it fits well when seated on the bike.
Second- kinda annoying, but the hood, which is a major style & selling point. Never ridden with a hood/ hoodie before. I liked the look, but on the first ride I noticed it restricted my vision when clearing blind-spots for lane changes. At one point a gust flopped it over my right shoulder. I flipped it back & the front snap came undone.
After the ride a closer inspection revealed very light-weight snaps holding the outer edges of the hood on, with a zipper in the rear of the collar securing it.
Suggest heavier duty snaps to keep it in place.
Excellent jacket otherwise. Excellent fit & finish, good quality armor, and very good looking overall, even without the hood.
4.9 out of 5 stars overall.
Ride safe!

Hey All,
Just picked up a new Harley & needed a half-shell to go with it. My previous helmet was a Harley brand bucket I had for 10 years- simple, comfy, light. The main issues with that one were that it would lift off my head & rotate to the back of my melon at freeway speeds.
The Pit Boss seems to have the best solution to this problem so far with the adjustable strap at the rear. Works very well.
My only real issue with the helmet, & one of its nicer selling points, is the flip-down visor. I selected the Pit Boss over some other Bell models (Rogue) because I liked the idea that I could wear my prescription glasses in a pinch, and still be able to flip down the visor in bright sun.
No Bueno.
The visor sits very close to the face when lowered and wont accommodate any kind of eye-wear underneath. Since I never ride without some form of eye-protection, the visor becomes useless unless I happen to mis-place the eye-pro.
Minor quibble. Overall a very nice half-shell.

Gotta say, after searching my local moto shops for a decent glove that:
1. Fit comfortably
2. Didnt cost an ArmAndaLeg
3. Didnt look like something from The Lord of the Rings movies
Found these on RevZilla, very sharp looking & seemed to offer good protection. Decided to take a chance & ordered Xtra-Large.
Got them in the mail quickly and gotta say, I'm very impressed. Even better looking in person, very well made and, hey, they fit like a glove ;)
Only downside I see is the price, but that goes with most gear these days. Otherwise, absolutely satisfied.
Ride Safe!
