I haven't had a chance to use this on a trip yet but once I got it stuffed it full of random stuff and took it out on a ride. The weight is definitely off the shoulders and works as advertised and it's well built to suit motorcycle riders.

As a point of reference, I'll have to compare against my other helmet, which is a Scorpion EXO-700.
This package is definitely a great deal as you get an additional dark smoke face shield and a good helmet. Being matte black, it's no frills but for those of us that doesn't need crazy graphics on a helmet, it works just fine. However, the matte black may not be ideal for summer riding as it could get a little hot in there but when moving the airflow is nice.
The weight is comparable to the Scorpion EXO-700 but the noise level is a bit odd. The general noise of the bike seems to be less in the Icon but the wind noise is louder in the icon as well.
Usually, medium helmets tend to be a little snug for me and it takes a bit of time for them to expand a little but this one seemed to be a little bigger than other helmet's I've bought in the past as the medium size wasn't super snug when I first tried it on. It is still a good fit for my head though which is slightly more round than oval.
Changing the face shield is a bit of a pain and not the easiest. Also a lot of people complain that the face shield lock is really tight and hard to pop the face shield off and this is the case for mine as well as my helmet will tilt upwards when I try to lift the face shield and I have to readjust my helmet again. It would have been a better design if they made that little metal pin spring loaded but you can't expect that for the price.

Boot feels quite sturdy and didn't take much time to get worn in and it's quite comfortable. The top portion is quite spacious for me and it almost feels like the boot is too big for my feet but it still takes a bit of effort to take off so I don't think there's much risk of it coming off during an accident unless the leg itself fails...gore, I know but that's why we buy these boots.
The quality seems to be quite good. Haven't had a chance to test it out in the rain but I'll take their word for it.
The only complaint is that the boot is bulky due to its protective features so it takes a bit of getting used to trying to fit the boot under the shifter.

After only 2 uses, one of the speed lace metal pieces fell off the right boot. There's a hole so you can still feed the lace into it and tighten up at the top but the quality of this boot is quite poor especially since things started falling off after 2 rides.
The left boot where the shifter makes contact is peeling the material. This is only after about a 4 days of riding.
The boots are comfortable and they look great on and off the bike but the quality on these are one of the worst I've seen. I know that they are low cost boots but I still expect $90 pair of boots to last a little longer than these.
I was starting to become a fan of the Teknic brand but after this experience, I think I'll be staying away from their gear.

Great for daytime riding and a good fit but other than what more is there to say? I do think the price is a bit high.

The new Sub glove chassis enjoys several benefits previously found only on gloves at a much higher price. Built around a proven Battlehide goatskin palm and finger gussets foundation, the Sub is more than ready for asphalt chaos. A lightweight textile backhand with a high-mobility thumb, not only creates a prime canvas for Icon's finest art, but provides excellent dexterity and abrasion resistance. Completing the protection package is the plastic knuckle armor group fortified to help disperse the shock of the incoming tarmac barrage. The Sub glove - designed to do your dirty work so your skin doesn't have too. Abrasion resistant premium grade Battlehide goatskin palm Injected plastic knuckle armor Short cuff design with secure wrist closure Pre-curved palm and finger design Imported

I have small hands and usually get the smallest gloves possible but I was wise to go by the sizing chart and get a medium and it's a snug fit.
The quality isn't very high but again it's one of those you get what you pay for type of deals and if brand name matters, I guess it's a great way to add an ICON glove at a price that actually makes sense.
The air flow is great but the comfort could be improved upon. I can't tell on the durability since I just got this but it doesn't seem like it'd last forever. I'd give it about 2 - 3 seasons before I have replace it.

It's time for a new helmet and when this model becomes a closeout deal then there was no question about purchasing it.
The shipment from Revzilla was very quick.
Initially, the helmet seemed too tight and I thought I may have gotten the wrong size. However, after wearing in the helmet, it seems to have loosened up a bit but it is still very tight. There were some pressure points that resulted in pain but this was easy fixed by lifting up the inside lining and gently pressing down on the Styrofoam area where the pressure point was. The cheek pads are still very tight and it makes it hard chewing gum but I'm hoping that after more use this will loosen up to be comfortable.
For me, I don't know why I'd spend any more money on a helmet when you can get one this well built for a lot less money.
