I've had this helmet for three months and rode over a thousand miles with it. Overall I'm satisfied with this purchase.
When I ride I do so with earplugs. My previous helmet was a Shoei X-Eleven and the S2 is much quieter. Others have complained about wind noise behind a wind screen and can't comment since my ride is a sport bike with little wind protection. I definately lean forward into the wind and find the noise level to be quiet.
The airflow is decent but could be better. There are two holes from the top vent that are occluded by two flaps. With the flaps folded forward the holes are still blocked by the liner. This is a surprising oversight by Schuberth. Airflow on the forehead is great but is blocked when the visor is down.
When riding in heavy crosswinds the S2 is less stable than the X-11 and it's large rear spoiler. The S2 has a larger-than-normal shell. I have the white version and worry that I look like the a**holes from the movie Spaceballs. Google it.
The ratchet strap is very easy to use but not very comfortable against the neck. A d-ring strap would have been a better choice.
The S2 is a very plush and comfortable helmet that gets much easier to take on and off the more you wear it. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.
