I've been looking for warm weather riding pants for a while. Gear manufacturers seem to think all female riders are skinny, so wasn't having much success until it occurred to me to purchase a pair of men's pants. The cut still works. A bit large in the waste, but enough room in thighs and butt to fit my curves, waste with adjustable velcro that means I can cinch it in enough to feel just fine. Great flexibility in knee pad placement as well, I'm short. No problem. Just moved them up a couple inches. Rode with them on for a half day today in 90 degrees. Much more comfortable than I thought they'd be. Plenty of air flow, comfy material interior (always hate traveling in material that feels like "plastic"). I may never ride in jeans again! Haven't tried out the waterproof liner yet so can't speak to it. At this price, these pants are a hot deal. I'd grab them while they're still available.

Been trying to figure out the best way to carry stuff. Backpack or messenger bag? Pain in the shoulders. Don't much care for riding around town with my Givi saddlebags on either -- they make my BMW F650GS feel so wide. And since I'm short, I'd be straining to look over a tank bag to see my gauges. Voila! (Or should I say "Duh!") Discovered the option of a tail bag. This Ogio is a good size for most commuting needs (lunch, jacket, couple of library books, random things you like to have on hand) and expands enough to use for a small haul from the grocery store or for use as an overnight bag. Quick release straps make it easy to take along if the contents are valuable. Waterproof cover folds back into its own pocket so you don't drop it somewhere. Even full, the bag remains low enough for me to swing my leg over when I get on/off the bike. Place anywhere. Mine's on the seat behind me, secured to frame under my seat and then to the back rack. I don't often have passengers and I still have room for a duffel or drybag. The Ogio was less expensive than other, similar sized bags and sometimes I hesitate to pay less in case the quality is compromised. Not so on this bag. A good value and I'm super happy with it.

As a nervous newbie, with a lot of gear to buy in the next couple years, I was nervous about making this first big purchase from an online store. Would the product look and work as advertised? The Revzilla staff helped me by verifying fit information and introducing other options to consider. (Thanks, Gina!) Ultimately I decided on this pair of Firstgear Overpants. They offered the most flexibility at a reasonable price. Put them on the second they arrived! I was pleasantly surprised at the excellent styling, good fit and ease of getting them on and off. I'm short (5'2") and they are a bit long. But since they are easily secured at the ankle, it's not a problem for riding. Now that it's finally cold, I've gone on some test rides. Even without the liner, these overpants are warm and comfortable in 40 degree weather. If we ever get any rain or snow this winter in NM, I'll be able to provide a review of the waterproof features. All in all, a great first experience with online purchasing and Revzilla!
